WDW convert admits why she likes DL

As a full blown destination resort I think WDW wins hands down

I agree. DLR is better though for a long weekend IMHO. I too love the way you can move from park to park so easy, back in your room in five minutes, no waiting for buses. The pace to me seems so much more relaxed, probably because there wasn't a lot of time spent waiting for transportation. I never had the feeling I do at WDW of "losing" part of my day getting between parks.

I so agree with the above posts! We are taking little grandchild this time, I think DL is a perfect place to start out, without overwhelming a 2 year old.

Can't wait!

Another positive about DL is that it is "walkable" for the preschool, early elementary age set. My son is 6 and was struggling to hoof around Epcot, but didn't have any problems going park to park at DL.

I am a long-time DL AP holder and since I live in SO Cal it makes it easy to vist DL often. I still love to spend the night and when budget allows stay on property. We have stayed at all of the resorts and treated ourselves to the concierge level at GC a few times.

Well we finally made a family trip to WDW a few weeks ago and it was amazing. I had been there on business 4 times for conferences but that is nothing like going on a full blown family vacation. We did a spilt stay of CBR and GF what a treat!

I wish I lived closer to WDW, and we are trying to plan another trip soon. I am just thankful that DL is close and we can enjoy that without having to fly across the country.

They are both magical, wonderful places!!! I think that anyone who loves Disney would love visiting either and enjoy the magic that makes each very special.
