WDW Commando Club

I came across a thread last night, that was saying there is a mini dolphin show at the Seas in Epcot, I've never seen this, but will be looking into it for August trip, to see what it's all about:magnify: If they are doing this I have to go see it, alot of the less known things going on sometimes turn out to be my favs:woohoo:

I'm not aware of any dolphin show, but I know if you go upstairs to the manatee tank you can speak to one of the workers. They have lots of interesting information. And the song that plays up there is hilarious!

I never heard of it either, the thread I found it on is titled --------- Is the live dolphin show still in Epcot? ----------- it leans toward that they do have one, but I can't confirm it:confused3

Well it looks like I got about 10 days before I can make my ADR's for the next trip:scared1: I got everything planned out allready, I hope I can get the times I'm looking for:confused3.

I'm going to have to make sure I work late the day I can make ADR's so I can take care of everything in the A.M. so I can do it the 1st min possible (got a couple of hard to get in at certian time ADR's I want to make:scared1:)

Are you making them online or calling? I think online is faster. What are your top choices?

Will be making them online:woohoo:

-Whispering Canyon (Dinner)
- 1900 Park Fare (Breakfast)
- Tappen Edo (Dinner)
- LeCelliar (Lunch)
- Ohana (Dinner)
- Hollywood & Vine (Fantasmic Dinner Package)

Things I have to call for
-Haircut
-AAA Storytime
-AAA Parade Balcony at MK for afternoon parade
-At DTD we will be hitting T-Rex Cafe

Will see in a week, what I end up with.

When making ADR's online can you do it 24hrs a day or is it between a certain time:confused3 Last year I think I made them kind of late at night, I could be wrong :confused3

I think you can make them anytime of day once you are in your 180 day window.

I have been busy all evening crunching numbers for DP vs paying out of pocket. I know pretty much where and what we'll eat each day. The DP will save us about $40. We decided that wasn't worth giving up flexibility.

I was concerned that we wouldn't order what really wanted at some of the higher end restaurants. So we decided to purchase a Disney gift card before we go that will pay for the majority of our meals. :thumbsup2 That way we won't worry so much about the expense since it's already paid for.

If you have a Disney Visa you can use your rewards dollars towards dinners, we paid for all our ADR's that way a few years ago, The big trick with using the visa card is to pay it off every month, that way it is like free money:woohoo:

Been doing that since we got it. We treat my Visa card as a debit card. I use it for everything and even go so far as to enter it in the check register at the time of purchase. :thumbsup2

I could use my rewards but I guess I'm selfish. :guilty: I use the rewards to pay for my solo trips. :goodvibes

Nice:yay: We are charter card members and we try to pay it off every month, since we usally have a trip planned with 0% for 6months we can hold off up to a certain amount if it's a tight month:woohoo:

So far we have cashed out at least $2500 in reward dollars since it started, that's like free money:woohoo: I love it when they do the 3x or 5x promo's, we make sure we bang it in:cool1:

When I made the reservations early in 2010 for my September trip, the online reservation system opened at 7am. Lucky for me, it fell on a Saturday, so I just had to set my alarm and not worry about getting to work or anything like that! I'm not sure if that's changed since they re-worked some of the online capabilities, but you should look into that since Le Cellier is on your list! Good luck, I hope you get everything you want.

Count me in on the Commando Club. Once we decided to go last year, I immediately sat down and started reading whatever I could. I went and bought books. I bought the Birnbaum's Dining Guide so that we could read about food.

When we go back this July, I will have been WDW five times since last July. Now, two of those trips are one/two day things but that still counts right? :rotfl:

I started making ADRs for this trip before we had really decided to go. However, it was Le Cellier so..... :rotfl2:

So for July's trip, I have already made all our ADR's. It all centered around which day was Fantasmic! playing and when we could get a package for that.

:welcome: You are member #137:woohoo: I would say all your trips count, especially since you don't live around the corner from WDW, I would love to do a bunch of small trips to Disney every year:thumbsup2

The Fantasmic package is a must for us this year, my wife is alittle mad that we missed it the last 2 trips, so I want to be able to lock it in:teacher: then I don't have to hear her asking if we will be going this year, giving me a attitude:lmao:

I think I'll try alittle Myth-buster type experiment on this and try it both ways to see when exactly you can do it online, and let everyone know the result, This could be very helpful for everyone knowing when you can book ADR's :confused3

We should start a WDW Myth-busting (is it true, can it be done) There is alot of stuff on the boards that don't really have a confirmed answer:confused3

With all of us being Commamdos we are probably the most qualified (since we are all over the parks, and do things alot of people don't get to:confused3) I think we can come up with alot of extra stuff that alot don't even know about:woohoo:

If anyone has a ?, and no one can confirm it, maybe someone on thier next trip can check it out to confirm or deny it:confused3

Anyone who has read my TR, alot of stuff I look for has been things I've heard off, but were not really confirmed, Since I'm in the parks all day and night I had to see for myself, I can say alot of them have panned out:yay: Bonus for me:woohoo:

If we can all come up with some stuff that we can confirm or check out, it would most likely be a more fruitful trip for us Commando's getting in some extras:goodvibes

That sounds like a great idea! I'll have to think about some things to put up...

My DH and I want to become a Commando member(s)...

We are doing an 11 park, 4 country tour in April with very little pre-planning, except for the tickets and such.

When we do the WDW, we always do it commando.

What does a girl gotta do to join this club?:goodvibes:worship:
