Count me in! My hobby is planning my next trip! I love to make the most of the time we are there and I love changing my game plan several times before we go.
Our last trip was with DH and another couple (best friends) for the Princess Half Marathon. I planned for months! I kept telling the other couple to plan their trip the way they want (but she insisted that they would do what I plan)- letting them know to get tickets for the Atlanta Braves spring training game months in advance (DH and I are not baseball fans, but they are). Long story short, we had a great trip (weather was fantastic, we all finished the race, we were in DISNEY!), but much of my planning and goals to do things I hadn't done (see the flag retreat ceremony, see the refurbished HoP, etc.) and enjoy things I have done and wanted to do again, were thrown out the window. The other couple could not get moving as early as I wanted and we only made it to the park opening of HS on a day that I decided we'd leave them a note and they could meet us there.

They weren't that excited about seeing TSM, but we got them FPs for when they arrived and then they wanted to go again, but there wasn't time

They ended up getting us tickets to a Brave's game while we were there and all that was left were lawn seats

, then we arrived late to the game because it started earlier than they thought and we had to stand

. The evening of the marathon (when we were all a little sore), we went to the MK . That's when I wanted to see the flag retreat and leisurely stroll up MS. Instead, they wanted to take the train and we got off at Frontierland. They didn't know what they wanted to do, so I said, let's get a fp for Thunder Railroad. Reluctantly they did. They didn't want to do HoP, didn't want to redo HM, Pirates. Didn't want to do Tiki Birds. Finally DH and I went on Aladdin because there wasn't a line and they said that was a kiddie ride

(mind you, they have been to Disney several times with their kids). Then our friend suggested the treehouse

and his wife said yes

and THAT'S what we did next! Then we sat on the rockers for an hour waiting for Spectro

. I know I should have gone and done what I wanted, but I was trying to be a sport and DH was just enjoying anything. After Spectro, we got my favorite spot for Wishes!

Then, they wanted to leave with the crowds so they could watch the Emmy's or some awards show on t.v.

I said I was going to use my fp and they could all leave. They all stayed and we had a great ride on BTMRR and then had the best Jungle Cruise ever.
So sorry to rant...this is not even the
half of our week with them. Needless to say, I AM a planner for my WDW trips and I am proud of it. I will never again be ashamed to plan and try to stick to it, even if I have to do it alone!!
BTW, they are still best friends and I would do a trip with them again, but I will make sure they know that I am doing my own thing. Of course, they may have decided they don't want to do a trip with me...
