I have been reading various threads about tipping. I have waited tables and when I did, we were paid $2.14/hr plus tips. We were taxed on an 8%min, meaning the gov't assumed we'd make at least 8% in tips, no matter what we reported, even if it was less, i.e. stiffed on a table will bring your % of tips down. You know some people don't report everything they make in cash.
So my question for you is this: Is it that way in WDW, or do you make more per hour w/all tips pooled and divided between all servers? Overtipping is always accepted, but undertipping is not nice. I've read on one thread that 10-15% for buffet servers was standard, but if they are only making the lower hourly wage + tips, I want to be sure and take care of them too. Please tell me how it works in Mouseland, I don't want to be the person to ruin someone's night w/a rotten tip.
Thanks!
