WDW Christmas party 12/18

Anyone want to share thoughts or personal experience on the last Sunday party before Christmas?

We've done the Halloween party a couple times. Tossing around the idea of doing the 12/18 party. Drive down that day, party, stay overnight and drive home. We opted to do DL this year and just got back. Thinking we are going to skip WDW in 2017 while they do so much construction. Son is 19 so would like to do the Christmas party at least once and the 18th is the only day I can pull of to not mess with school schedules etc.

Will it be crazy crowded?

A number of parties will sell out that last week. Sold out is sold out. I would go, but expect and plan on high crowds on Main Street. The rest of the park won't be bad.
