WDW can't tell me if a room is available

Driving to WDW And just called to see if I could get a room tonight. Due to system enchancements they cannot tell me even when they transferred me directly to the resort! Serious I have been in the car for 12 hours and have a couple more to go. I have a reservation starting tomorrow but would just keep driving if I could get a room
 
I thought it would be magical for my 5 year old daughter to wake up in WDW.
 
Yes, the whole system is down until tomorrow. I tried to make a dining reservation before it shut down at the reported 9 pm, but it wouldn't go through. Why not try the Swan or Dolphin?
 

This happened to me on our last trip. We flew in a day early and when we landed at MCO I called to get a room, and the system was down. Luckily it came back up in a couple of hours and we were able to book a room. My back up plan was Swan and Dolphin. It's not Disney, but it's on property.

Hope things work out at the Swan or Dolphin :thumbsup2. I just have to wonder what in the _ _ LL has happened to Disney. In years gone by this kind of ridiculous lack of service due to system breakdowns, or need to shutdown to fix problems, hardly ever occurred. Did they cut the IT staff to the bone in order to save money and report better earnings. It seems that lately I see more and more reports of loyal clients of Disney becoming more and more disenchanted:confused3
 
Dolphin is available at a reasonable rate! Disney has slipped, I just find it hard to believe the IT issues they have. I am just grumpy because we usually fly and it has been a long day in the car but I will be at WDW soon!
 
I called for an unrelated issue amd their recording said to try back early tomorrow afternoon.

Be careful driving and sweet dreams. You will feel better in the morning. Hope swan and dolphin work out. My brother did the same thing last year and walked right into pop ce fury at midnight and got a room. Good wishes

They've been working to change EVERYTHING since late last Fall. It's taking a long, long time.

Don't forget that you will also pay for parking, and there's a mandatory "resort fee" at Dolphin. Add those into your rate to see if it's still reasonable.
