I've never had the need to park hop much earlier than 1 PM or so due to crowd conditions, but this Nov. we'll be walking to MGM from the Dolphin at opening time during Super Soap Weekend. If the crowds are outrageous at this early hour, will busses be running from park to park at this time? I've got the schedule down for going from resort to park, but it occurs to me that maybe Disney doesn't start the day with service from park to park, perhaps on the theory that no one will want to hop until some time is spent in the 'original' park. Any info on this? If there's no chance of hopping a bus out of MGM to another park at opening time we'll have to re-think our schedule.

Thanks,

You can always take the boat back to the Dolphin and then just continue on to Epcot. That's always running. I don't know about a bus to the other parks. You could always head to a resort and catch a bus from there.

As far as I know, transportation to other parks runs as long as that park is open. The MK bus will take you to the TTC though, and not the MK gates. For Epcot, you would just hop the boat that you would normally take from the Dplhin to MGM.

Park to Park busses start running between 8 and 9am... however, TTC busses may start running earlier than that. Busses will run from the theme parks until the park is clear. Busses from the TTC to the DAK, Studios and Epcot parking lots will run till 2am.

To get to Epcot from the Studios (and vice versa) you can take the Friendship Cruiser (Int'l Gateway), or we also provide a bus. Boats run every 10 mins or so, and it's a 25 minute ride. The busses run every 15 mins or so, and it's a 10 minute ride.

From Epcot to MK (and vice versa), you can take the Monorail.

From AK, you can take a bus to Epcot or to the Studios (and vice versa).

From MK, you must go to the TTC to catch connecting transportation.

Please note that you can only catch Downtown Disney busses from Disney resorts. The one exception is the Studios provides a bus to Pleasure Island from 3pm-park close. This is on a trial basis, and is subject to change or be discontinued. Note that it is a ONE WAY ONLY bus, and to Pleasure Island only.

Are they running busses from DD to the parks or only to the resorts?

Downtown Disney only provides service to the Disney resorts.

That is WONDERFUL news, now maybe we can get a parking space there to shop rather than to have to search endlessly because of people parking there and taking busses to the parks thereby avoiding the cost of parking.

Indeed... people were parking there for free and then taking our busses. My view is... if the $6.00 is gonna make it or break it... you need to reconsider the entire trip.

Another problem is that guests from the Hotel Plaza Blvd were using our busses to get to and from thier hotels, rather than waiting for thier own busses. Not that I can blame them after what I saw happen to one of thier busses.

If you wanted to catch a bus from one resort to another, say from Epcot to the Studios, where would you find it?

Umm.... I'm thinking you mean from the Epcot theme park to the Disney-MGM Studios theme park?

Well, it's Load Zone 6 at Epcot for the Studios, and Load zone 6 at the Studios for Epcot. That one is pretty simple.

As for the others, just check the handy dandy sign, it'll tell you what destinations are at what load zone... (These signs are at EVERY park)

(Of course, this is subject to change... so be sure to read the signs, and check the marquee on the bus)

Thanks! We are planning to hop around this visit and not just stay in one park all day. The information helps out a lot!
