WDW Bag Check - anything small enough that won't need to be checked?

i my experience if it's a bag,no matter how small,they 'check' it.... I know, the things I can smuggle in my camera bag lol

Does bag check matter much if you're there for rope drop? I haven't been in 4 years, but seem to remember bag check being only a couple minutes, and you end up milling around for 30 minutes anyways.

During a Dec trip with cold weather, I was wearing a hoodie, had no bag, so I went thru no bag lane. I was stopped and they asked to check my jacket pockets. One pocket was empty and the other had a small empty plastic bag in the other. I wasn't trying to "sneak" anything in, I probably brought something earlier and stuff the bag in my pocket.

No it doesn't. I think at most I've waited 5 minutes when the parks have been super busy.
