WDW August 4 - 7

Would anyone (locals or visitors) like to meet for lunch on Friday, August 4 at Le Cellier (Canadian restaurant) in Epcot?

Or, would anyone like to meet Saturday evening, August 5, for dinner and mini-golf at Fantasia Gardens?

Or, how about meeting Monday, August 7 for lunch at the Brown Derby in MGM?

I have the Lnch reservations already. All that's missing is U!

Welcome to the DIS! Very brave organising a meet. Aug 4th is actually my Epcot day, and I'd made plans for dinner at Le Cellier but lunch would be equally lovely. I think it will probably be just me, but if that changes I'll let you know, and I'll watch out for any info.

Who else will be there at that time? Would anyone like to meet for mini-golf at Fantasia Gardens on Saturday night, August 5? Or, meet for lunch at the Brown Derby in MGM on Monday, August 7?

I have some extra mini golf tickets, so meeting for mini golf sounds like a great plan!! Unfortunately August 5 I already have plans. Is there another day you can meet?

Hey, Debi! Thanks for your reply.

I've been advised that because the weather will be so humid as well as hot, I should play mini-golf only in the evening at that time of year, not during the day. And I already have other plans for each evening through August 8, so right now (unless something changes), it looks like the evening of August 5 will be my only opportunity during this trip to play mini-golf. (August 9 might be possible for me, but I think one of your other posts said you're leaving on August 7.)

However, I am seriously leaning towards making an additional trip to WDW in early December for Mousefest. If you (or anyone else reading this) will be there during that time, mini-golf would be a possibility -- and in December, it could be in the daytime.

Okay, I'm officially embarrassed! I got my days mixed up, and I do have the night of 8/5 free (I'll be in DAK during the day). If you still want to meet for mini golf on 8/5, we definately could meet. What time do you want to meet?

Hi, Debi! That's good news that you can meet for mini-golf on the evening of Saturday, August 5, after all. It will be fun. I've been wanting to try a WDW mini-golf course, and it hasn't worked out for me, until now.

It happens that I'll also be spending the daytime that day at the Animal Kingdom. I'll be hanging out with another lady from DisBoards. I think she is planning to leave when the Animal Kingdom closes, which is 7:00 PM. So, maybe you and I could meet at 7:00 PM in the Animal Kingdom, and go from there to Fantasia Gardens? If we play a couple of rounds of mini-golf, maybe we'll still be there at 9:00 PM, which would be a good thing, because I've been reading here that you can see Fantasmic from the mini-golf course, and that it really enhances the mini-golf experience!

Do you know of a spot in the Animal Kingdom that would be a good place to meet?

If anyone else would like to join us, it's easy to fit up to four people in a mini-golf game, so we have room for two more!

What a coincedence!! I'll be meeting another DIS family at DAK that day also! Unfortunately, my plans call for me leaving following lunch (we have ADR's at the RFC at 11:30). Maybe we could just meet at Fantasia at 7PM?

I was planning to leave the Animal Kingdom at 7:00 PM on August 5, so could we meet at Fantasia Gardens at 7:30 PM?

Starting the mini-golf at 7:30 PM would be good, because then we could easily still be there at 9:00 and remotely enjoy Fantasmic from there.

I have lunch reservations at Le Cellier for 11:30 AM.

Dinner reservations at the German restaurant for 6:15 PM.

I just checked our reservations and we are booked at Le Cellier on Thursday the 3rd. That's too bad, I was searching the Meets thread to see if anyone wanted to meet while were are at WDW. We are at MGM on the Friday. We are only there for 3 days.
