Disneyland has resumed new sales twice. Nothing for WDW. Time to quit waiting.

Why is it time to stop waiting? Does it really matter if it opens for a day in mid February or early April?

If it doesn't happen now, I still think there's a window after Spring Break that makes sense.

Actually every big thing they assumed as a cause has already happened. Still no new AP sales resumed. The fact that still-being-sold pixie is targeted to true locals, there is a hard cap on APs distributed, Iger differentiates between the parks and Magic Keys are still on sale are facts to observe. Magic Keys are real and certain. The window of opportunity is closing fast.

We are also a month and change from FL Spring Break. Just like no one expected AP sales to open near the holidays, I don't see Spring Break making sense either.

Nothing is closing, and certainly not fast. If there's no one in the parks on Tuesdays in three years, they can re-open it then.

The one thing I don't understand is we all have said DLR is the one with the Annual Pass problem because the percentage of AP guests there is so much higher than WDW. We've heard execs call this an unfavorable attendance mix. Yet they have been less restrictive in re-opening sales than WDW has.

To be fair, the Magic Key just fills up and blocks everyone out anyway with the park reservations. The APs at WDW have been available most of the time.

Correct, so DLR seems to be restricting their unfavorable attendance mix by use of park reservations. WDW appears to be doing so by just not allowing a larger pool of APs to set Park Reservations. It's an interesting difference.

Just my opinion here, but I think this may indicate Disney has decided to give the superfans a home; at DLR. Thus “saving” WDW for the bigger profit guest. They are steering. Not as many changes are needed to rides, attractions and performances when the guests are occasional and not so much regulars. If I am right, Disney will keep the AP numbers smaller at WDW.

The superfans already like DLR better, don't they?

I could agree with you, but some may argue. I made many trips to Disneyland and California Adventure and had a lot of fun.

I hear ya. Actually, I like both, but there asre some on the DL side that can be a little precious about it.

All the advertising is 100th and all the souvenirs .
Need to direct traffic towards DL cause that’s a lot of profitable stuff on those shelves .
No need to push WDW currently , DVC keeps us returning . plus Tron
So DL and WDW both win

They fully plan to bring back the WDW APs. It's just a matter of the timing.

There really is no reason that DVC shouldn’t have AP access. We are among the highest affinity group and are, obviously, big spenders. We have a “class” carve out where justifying giving us access is reasonable. We do not make up a large enough percentage of the park admission where over-crowding (like they care) should be an issue. This is a money grab plain and simple. A gross and abusive one aimed at the most loyal fan base at that. It’s really a disgusting practice when you think about the level of commitment and money we have put towards guaranteeing them business and profits.
