WDW Annual Pass Timing Speculation

I just found this forum (how did I not know about it, shame on me) and joined quickly!!
But wanted to stop by and say I would give anything right now for an AP. Have been on property several times since last July with more trips planned, but may have to cancel if they don't sell AP's again soon. The park admission price is breaking the bank lol
Thanks for letting me join in the convo! Cheers all :)

I think this is why they aren’t being sold. Someone else will fill your future spot and pay a higher per day price :)

Get the Universal AP and go there.

The top tier UO AP is about the price of one seven day WDW hopper. It includes valet parking, Express after 4pm, and an off-peak HHN ticket.

We bought them just for a one week trip. It’s really a pretty good deal.

You keep pushing that in this thread and at this point it’s become a bit much. We get it, you jumped ship to UO. That’s fine but let us discuss this topic since we are still invested. Thanks.
People are going to gravitate towards Universal if Disney continues to not sell APs.
It's as simple as that.

If you don't like it then start selling APs again.

June trip booked regardless of APs. If APs were available, would also go over spring break in March (and would happily stay on site). Not available tho, so going to Dollywood instead. Not that it matters at all - just what I’m doing, haha.

More money Disney loses because of their greed.

I've also been thinking about going to Dollywood. The Dollywood reps said that flying into Knoxville is better than Nashville for Dollywood.

It’s a good time! We live only about a 3 hour or so drive away so it makes it easy. The DreamMore resort is fantastic and comes with their version of fast pass with your stay as well. Some fun activities in the surrounding area as well. There is a mountain roller coaster down the road from the park that is really fun and very different haha.

Dollywood is a fantastic park. Everyone should visit at least once. And yes, Knoxville is much closer than Nashville, but still a decent drive. They've got an eclectic but excellent collection of coasters, great live entertainment, and the food is both good and a fair value. Make a point of seeing Dreamland Drive-In if it is showing while you are there. It is truly excellent. I'm a bit of a soft touch, it brings me to tears every time I see it.

I've got a week in Sevierville late May for some hiking in GSMNP and Dollywood's version of Flower and Garden.

I do miss the Mountain Slidewinder, though. That thing was a ton of fun.

That is what my wife and I are doing - we just bought into DVC and hoped APs would come back after 50th anniversary ended. We are planning a trip in May for our "Welcome Home" and decided we'd only do 1 day in Disney, the other 4 in Universal (big HP fans).

Easy decision for me - i paid $550 for a Universal AP per person (total for 2x was less than 1 incredipass which i cant even buy). I get free parking, early admission into the parks by 1 hr, discounts on all the food/drink, and a lounge to access. It will pay itself off just in this three-four day universal trip and then any time i go in the future is free.

But to be clear, if Disney brings theirs back, I would MUCH rather have a Disney AP. I just can't justify spending 2k a year on park tickets without having unlimited in/out privelages and park hopping privelages.

I'm calling it for April 18th based on today's announcement of loosening the park reservations. Still holding out hope that we will see something sooner. This is a race weekend- I think there's a slim, but possible chance we see some movement next week. With the exception of the tron preview, it seems like nearly all park reservations are still available and new restaurants and attractions are still opening all the time.

All makes sense to me!

On the DVC note, we are actually in the market to buy in as new members (looking at you Polly 2!) but won’t even consider it unless APs come back.

It does make ya wonder!

Ladies and gents, we need to start putting our money where our mouths are!

NO, I am not advocating for online betting via Disboards...

Sorry, can you explain what announcement? I must've missed something about changes to park reservations?
