Hi all, we're thinking of doing both a WDW resort/park experience for 4 days and a 4 night disney wonder cruise out of miami next year. I'm not sure if we should do WDW first or the cruise. Any pros or cons to each? We are travelling with our 3 yr old. Thanks a lot!

I did my first three trips under the old land/sea package.

Definately better to do the parks first and go commando, then slow down on the cruise part last.

I had friends that did it the other way, and wore themselves out on the cruise and didn't have enough energy for the parks. It just wasn't the same.

We liked doing the parks first and then used the cruise to rest up. Worked really well.

Yes definitely do the parks then the cruise. I did the parks for Christmas last year and then the Disney Dream for New Years. It was wonderful.

This past winter we did the cruise first followed by the parks. It really was the only option to fit our time schedule, as we wanted the 4-night cruise over the 3-night. But I would definitely prefer to do the parks first another time!

Parks first. We went on Carnival Dream first then parks...... Wooooore out. Plus since we went in December and had serious ship legs, it took days before we didnt feel like we were rocking on solid ground.

In May I did a 4 night on the Dream and 3 nights in WDW. I wish I did it the other way around. :rolleyes2
You feel so Go GO GO! in WDW and so relaxed after a cruise. I wanted to get back on the Dream and rest some more!:faint:

We are doing a 3 night cruise (our first time on DCL) with 3 nights at a Disney resort before and 3 nights after. With that said, if we had to choose WDW before or after, we are in the minority that we would do it after the cruise. We are not park commandos and spend more time at the resort than at the parks and I can see us doing more on the cruise and less at WDW. But I'm sure you'll have a magical trip no matter how you plan it :wizard:.
