Definitely do a 4 night! 3 nights are great but I'm never ready to get off! 4 nights gives you an extra day at sea to enjoy everything there is on the boat. We have just booked another one for next year
I would also factor in a night after the cruise depending on your flight plans. You have to get of the ship really early and if you have a late flight it makes for an exhausting day.
We are in Disney now and are doing the 4 night cruise tomorrow. we are then going back to Disney afterwards as we seem to be doing it the opposite way to what others do, but we didn't want to end our holiday with the cruise
For our wedding trip we did a 4 night cruise as a honeymoon before we flew home. I'd never cruised before and was unsure about it but now I'm hooked.
Since then we have done a Disney Med cruise and are sailing on the fantasy over Easter next year before going to wdw.
I'll echo the thoughts above though, do a 4 night one, you're paying so much for the cruise it would be a shame not to have a sea day to enjoy the ship
Last year we went on a 3 night Bahamian cruise following 14 nights at WDW and it was amazing! It reduces the feeling of leaving WDW and it's a great chance to chill and relax before flying home.
Actually, we liked the cruise so much we're considering going to WDW next year for only 10 nights and having a 7 night cruise after...it was that good!
Thanks for replies if u do cruise at end of hols is there space in cabin for all our luggage or is it best just to add a extra night at wdw. There will b 5 or 6 or us 2 adults and 3,5,11 & 16 I don't wanna tell them I'm thinking of this just wanna make it a surprise so they think we on bus to go airport. I'm not planning to go wait for it .......... 2015 sept/oct time is the weather ok this time of year at Bahamas I'm so excited and got years to wait
For that size group you would need 2 cabins. It will all depend on how much luggage you tend to take. On our last cruise we had 2 large suitcases, pushchair and car seat which all fitted underneath the bed. We have driven and parked at the port before and left some bits in the car (however much fitted in the boot).
We have cruised several times in Sept/Oct and have booked for next sept. the weather generally is lovely, pretty similar to WDW. However it's worth remembering that it is hurricane season and it's possible that a storm could impact your cruise, although this is quite rare I think.

We have previously been on a 7 night Disney Cruise and have a 3 night booked on the Dream in November. We didn't like getting off the ship and having to go straight to the airport to fly home, so we have booked our upcoming cruise towards the beginning of our holiday.
Got back from Disney this morning, but no cruise this year
Have done Disney & cruise twice now with another one planned for next year.
It is all down to personal choice. we prefer to head home on the day of leaving the ship, still on a high to carry you thro the journey home, especially if no park tix are available for us to use. Last year we had a few days at the Hilton, but after the cruise it was a bit of a low.
