As someone who has experienced more than one complication between 32 and 40 weeks, I would not be comfortable being more than a few hours drive from home.
Yep. I went both pregnancies in the mid 20s (like 24-25 weeks) and had no problems. But with my 2nd DS my water broke at 36w completely out of the blue. I would not travel that far past about 32-33 for my comfort level.

We also alternated early mornings and late nights....if we were at a park until 8pm one night, then we had a lazy morning the next day and didn't rush to get to a park. If we had an early morning breakfast reservation at a park, we had dinner at our resort restaurant and had an early night. Finding that balance was a big help for me, and it gave DS a break too.
