OK, I'm starting to get a little sad here because we have now come to ...
The last full day at WDW!!
Of course, we go back to my favorite place---MK!!
We arrive at MK later than I would have liked--around 10:30 a.m.
We head up Main Street USA. Main Street is my favorite part of the park. I just love strolling down that street and staring up at that castle. Of course on this day, I was starting to get a little upset because I knew it would be the last time I would see it this trip.
I also like going in the shops and just browsing. I could do this all day. If I see something that I'd like to buy and I can actually afford it, all the better.
DS had some Disney Dollars left over (I know it's hard to believe with that outrageous purchase of "the jersey of the player that will remain nameless") and he wants to go in the Confectionary. I told him we'd stop in on the way(sniff!) out of the park.
We head over to Frontierland. We had to ride BTMRR and Splash Mountain.
We grabbed Fastpasses for BTMRR because there is about a half-hour wait.
Went next door to Splash Mountain. Walked on the ride!!!!
No Fastpasses, eithier. There must have been a guardian angel following us around on this trip. I don't know!
After Brer Rabbit found his Laughin' Place, we head to BTMRR.
I just LOVE those Fastpasses, don't you? The stand-by line wait was about 40 minutes. WE breeze right past everybody. I felt a little bit guilty as I was floating by. It was hot out again this day as well.
I get over the guilt real quick.
We were heading out of Frontierland and we notice that Country Bear Jamboree was starting in about 5 minutes. We go in.
I hadn't been here since my first trip in 1995. Now I remember why.
Very outdated show. It needs to be spruced up a bit.
Don't get mad at me, it's just my opinion. I got us out of the heat, though.
As we are exiting CBJ, There was a street show going on with Woody from Toy Story and some cowboys and cowgirls. They were dancing around and I could feel my feet a'tappin' to the music. YEEHAA!!
You KNOW what DS and DH did, don't you?
Man, they were darn lucky that I didn't get in the middle of that show and do an old-fashioned ho-down!!!!
On to Adventureland!!
We rode on POTC and Jungle Cruise.
POTC was fun, as always. I really enjoyed the addition of Jack Sparrow to the attraction. That figure looks JUST like Johnny Depp!!!!
Jungle Cruise was fun, also. The tour guide was hysterical!! I could see my brother working on that attraction. DH had the same thought. Great minds think alike, I guess!!!
Anyway, DS wanted to ride Buzz Lightyear again, so off to Tommorowland we go!
This time maybe it was a 5 minute wait, if that! It's now after 12:30, where is everybody?
Can I say that Buzz is quickly becoming one of my favorites at WDW. DS said it was okay if his father and me go on together and he would go by himself because we really didn't do much together on the trip so far.
Ain't he the sweetest?
DH and I share a spaceship (or whatever it's supposed to be) and I totally messed with him. He's getting all serious about shooting at the "Z" targets, and I am pushing the lever to make the spaceship spin around. And around. And around. I was spinning and laughing so hard I thought I was gonna throw up!!!
He was so mad at me by the end of that ride, I thought he was gonna strangle me!!!!
After it was apparent that DH was not going to be Mr. Formerly-Laid-Back-Super-Commando, we head to TTA.
Now I've never been on this before on any of my trips to DW, and I loved it. So fun and relaxing! DS actually rode this several times. The view is nice from that ride as well.
We were done with Tommorwland this trip. (Get out the hankies, everyone!)
Now it was time to back-track to Liberty Square to the Hall of Presidents.
DS did not want to do this. (It was educational. He didn't want to see or do anything educational on his vacation.)
I like this exhibit and I told him if he wrote about this in his journal, he would score major points with his teacher.
That won him over. DS actually enjoyed the Hall of Presidents. He commented that all the presidents looked very life-like. I agreed with him.
We head over to Tommorowland Indy Speedway. We rode this during EMH the other night.
I do not drive. I sat in the passanger seat with DS on Monday evening. This is the one phobia I have. I'm not afraid of heights, the dark, or anything like that. But, put me behind the wheel of a car, I actually have a panic attack. I don't know why this happens to me--I've never been in a major car accident in my life (knock on wood!) and I'm fine as a passenger in a car, but do NOT ask me to drive one!!!!
Well, today was our last full day, and DH forced me to get on this ride IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT!!! He informed me that the cars rode on tracks (which I already knew) but do you think that made any difference to me? No, sir.
I told DH I would do it, but he had to sit in the car with me.
Am I a baby or what!!!!
I did fine. Relax.
Now we were getting hungry, so we went to Casey's Corner for some hot dogs. They were really good.
After we ate, we went to the Confectionary and DS used up his Disney Dollars to buy some bagged treats to take back to Philly.
We saw the Family Fun Day Parade on our way out of MK. (Now I'm really starting to get upset. I know I'm a babbling fool!)
DS, DH and I took the bus back to POFQ really depressed because this way this end of our vacation.
Or was it?
