I received an e-mail from Walt Disney World mail order regarding the 2006 calendars which are now avaialbe for purchase @ $10 each. Has anyone seen them at the parks yet? I was wondering what photos were included in this year's calendar before I ordered one.

I was in Magic Kingdom on August 30th and purchase the 16 month calendar at a store on Main Street, I can't remember the name but it's the one on the right hand side as you leave the park. Since the store has three or four sections, I will say that I found the calendar near the register at the last store before you exit the park. The calendar is very nice, has pictures of the new castle (happiest celebration on earth), also each month has a different theme park, one month has a picture of Cinderella and Prince charming, a picture of Soarin, one of the new stunt show and a few other nice pictures. I think it's worth the $10.00 they are selling it for. Crazy4wdw - where did the email come from? A friend of mine wants to get a calendar and said she looked all over while she was down there and could not find one...I guess I got lucky, I really wasn't looking for one and there they were.

The SKU # for the 2006 calendar is 17423170, price $10.

You can call WDW mail order at 407-363-6200 or you can fax them at 407-828-2000. If you fax them, you would need to include your credit card #, expiration date, and signature. The shipping is almost as much as the calendar: $8.95. If you are going to WDW in the next month or two, you could probably buy one at the parks. I went last year in early October and had trouble finding one.

I e-mailed WDW mail order @ wdw.mail.order@disneyworld.com I knew the calendars usually come out in Sept. and wanted to make sure that I was able to get one for 2006. Now I have to decide if I want to spend $8.95 for shipping. I am not going this year until October 15, I don't know if I want to take the chance of not finding one! :wave2:

I can't beleive how much Disney is charging for shipping... huuum if I add 75.00 to the shipping charge I can get a flight, now that's a thought. Thank you for the heads up though I wonder if the charge is per calendar. I will check into this.

The shipping charge is by amount, not volume.

They charge $8.95 for total merchandise value of up to $25, $10.95 for $25 to $99, and $15.95 for any total over $100. These charges are for UPS ground shipping. If you want FedEx, add at least $10 more!

We have always managed to buy our Disney calendar at the World of Disney -- even Christmas week. In addition, AP and VISA holders get 10% off on purchases of $50 (I think that's the correct dollar amount) or more. We always save all our World of Disney purchases for the last day -- we have no problems spending $50 since we always bring stuff back for friends.
