I'm now into the final stages of trip planning, 39 days to go and nothing better to do than obsess over minor details.

So, with that in mind, here is my question...we booked our entire package, including BA flights, through The Walt Disney Travel Company - how close to the trip are we likely to receive our Mickey Mail/airline tickets?

It's only been two years since our last trip and I can't for the life of me remember at what stage we received our tickets for other trips. Just so I know when to start obsessively checking for mail!

From memory you need to phone to get your BA number from Disney then register on the BA website and fill in your details there. You won't actually get airline tickets.

I believe the above is correct - it's all just e-tickets. Flight inclusive packages see the Mickey mail being sent out later than the room/ticket packages.

Thanks! Yes it was the e-tickets I was referring to. I know we've usually always had some kind of paper voucher rather than the old-style tickets that were sent to us, just couldn't remember how long before the trip they arrived. Two weeks sounds about right

Mickey mail is anything from 4 weeks to 2 weeks out usually. Last year we had 2 trips, one we had our Mickey mail 4 weeks before the other was only 10 days. You don't really get anything other than bits of paper. e-Tickets and a breakdown of your itinerary

Do we need what gets sent to us? We booked through Disney (hotel, free dining and ticket) but haven't received anything yet. We fly on 20th October.

Should I contact Disney or not worry?

I'd give them a call. You don't actually need anything. If you have your ID and give your details they will look it up and check you in for Magical Express and in the resort. I don't know if you have booked preferred fireworks viewing but last year they were quite sticky about wanting to see the voucher (I was lazy and didn't feel like digging for it in my camera bag so gave my name as before) but the CM at MK wanted the voucher. It may have been a once off and they do have a list of guests booked. I also use some of the discount vouchers so if you want those, they would be in the little voucher book sent and you'd want those too. If not, you're pretty much good to go but I want to receive my Mickey Mail! It's all part of the build up

We're 19 days out and I'm getting more and more frustrated by the second over our Mickey Mail. In my rational mind, I know that it could be a week yet but my irrational I WANT TO GO mind, it's irritating me!

In our house, Mickey Mail arrival is the trigger for us to go into full blown Disney mentalist mode and I kinda feel like with all the horrible stuff we've had to deal with this year, I can now finally relax and get into the holiday groove!

It doesn't seem like there is any rhyme or reason with Mickey Mail now, it used to be regular as clockwork (at least in our experience) but now it seems like it can show up any time from a month before to 3 days before!

Here's hoping we all get our Mickey Mail soon!

I have called them and it's not being sent until tomorrow because they have a backlog!

OMG I've never even thought about my Mickey Mail, 12 days to go, it would be helpful to have tickets I suppose. Wonder how long I should leave it?
