I am trying to decide between these 2 with DH and 2 DSs (age 4 and 1.5 yo). This will be out last night at WL, so I am thinking close to the resort/in the resort might be best idea. Anyone have a preference?

Thanks in advance!

The atmosphere of the two are completely different:

WCC - table service, sit down, menus and good character acting ( even if the jokes are sometimes cheesy :lmao: )

Trail's End - counter service buffet style, similiar to a cafeteria. Not much themeing.

The food will be good at either, but I prefer the sit down service better personally.

Thanks for the reviews!
Booked WCC. Looking forward to sit down (we are doing 3 character buffets already)

WCC is the winner hands down, the kids will enjoy the "hobby horse" races...

The food at WCC was very greasy and all "mixed up" in that skillet. We absolutely love Trail's End for the variety of food and the fact that we can pick and choose what we want on our plates. The kids get mac & cheese and pizza in addition to the chicken and ribs and carved meats. There's a nice salad bar with peel-your-own-shrimp and a nice basic dessert table with make-your-own sundaes.

Plus, at Trail's End they clear off your table. At WCC, they kept piling everything on top of each other, threw stuff at us (I guess that's the "shtick"). The only positive for us - milkshakes. But you can get unlimited ice cream at Trail's End, so that makes up for it for us.

My DD and I both got sick after the WCC meal. We have never gotten sick after TE.

To the PP who said "not much theming" at Trail's End, it's got the same theme as the rest of Fort Wilderness. Rustic. You're supposed to be inside the Fort Settlement during the time when the country was being settled. That's why HDDR is in Pioneer Hall. You're a pioneer at the Fort. The stage comes into town with a show, the local restaurant is the only one in town, etc. etc.

Yep I agree with other pp. WCC is the best esp with kids. Food is better too.
