WCC or 50's Prime Time for lunch?

It's dh, myself, dd (7) and ds (3) going in August. We would like good food, but more importantly is how much fun the kids will have. We already have an ADR for Prime Time, but I'm now wondering if we should go to WCC instead (although I heard that it's not as much fun for lunch). Thoughts??

(FWIW, if it makes a difference, our other ADRs are 1900 PF, CRT, Sci-Fi, and Chef Mickey.)
Thanks!

I have great memories of 50's Prime Time from when I used to go with my family. It gets my vote. Any place that forces my little brother to stand in the corner and be airplane fed is okay in my book. ;)

DH and I went to WCC for lunch years ago. The restaurant was fairly empty and there wasn't anything unique or fun going on, although I know that people usually have a good time there. The food was okay, but it didn't rank high with us.

I vote for 50's prime time. My family ate at both places last vacation and had such a good time at the 50's/ The food was good...the service was SO MUCH FUN....we were laughing through most of our meal. We really had a good time there. When we went to WCC, the food was good...but it wasn't fun like I thought it would be. Have fun!!

DS18 and I went to WCC for breakfast in May 2010... it was hilarious...

We also experienced 50's Prime time ...it was good as well....

The difference to me is with WCC...there are special things that you do to elicit a response... so read up on allearsnet.com.... to see if there is a chance that you will have the response and then decide which (also check the menus)

I LOVED BOTH experiences.... and I also loved the food... (Omelet at WCC and Pot Roast at 50's)...

Hugs,
Mary

We are fans of both, but 50s gets a nod from me in the direction of fun/food. WCC can be really laid back at lunch, unless there is a crowd. But lunch doesnt tend to get crowded there. Try WCC for dinner instead. But keep that 50s ressie. 50s stays pretty well packed, so the antics are more lively overall. Though your waiter/waitress may not be so lively, someone else who works there may pick up on something you are doing or saying and it all starts snowballing. Put your elbows on the table and see what happens;)

Will you be at DHS already? Leaving the park to trek over to the Wildnerness Lodge just for lunch sounds like a lot of work just for a lunch. Prime Time is inside the park and will conserve park time.

I loved both of these places, but I would have to say, that if you are going to be in DHS that day, go with 50's. Trucking over to the FWL just for lunch, seems a bit much. Unless you were planning on going somewhere else that day...

Another vote for 50's! It is one of our fondest Disney dining memories. The food was amazing and it was so much fun, even without kids! All the kids at the other tables around us were having a blast and laughing the whole time at the servers, so I think your kids would enjoy it.

Another vote for 50's PTC. Better food and a better atmosphere for all. For the parents, the set up of the stereotype 50's kitchen can bring you back to another date and time (I'm just guessing since I'm only 26, although my grandparents had a kitchen that was 50's-ish that the restaurant kind of takes me back) and the younger kids seem to love the shtick. I also like the food better for lunch. Don't forget to try the s'mores dessert.:thumbsup2

I enjoy both restaurants. My older dd had the food fed to her airplane style at WCC. DH and I had a good laugh and got lots of pics.

My best memory of PT is when we were there in 1989 with a friend and my sister. She didn't eat her veggies and the waiter was chastizing her. She is a vegan now so we like to remind her of that incident.
