Currently we have a dinner ressie at WCC and i was really looking forward to it (I Love BBQ ) However my family planned on ordering the skillet and now that we are looking over our ressies we realized it is going to be a bit pricey (we are using TiW and have Le Cellier, Crystal Palace, Ohana, and other pricey restaurants book one sit-down per day for two weeks :rotfl:) I was wondering if anyone has tried the lunch as it seems to be cheaper? What did you order? How is the lunch skillet?

P.S. Yes we have checked and can still get ressies.

Thanks for the Imput :thumbsup2

We want to visit Wilderness Lodge on our next trip and have a meal. I'd rather go to Whispering Canyon Cafe for lunch and enjoy a nicer dinner elsewhere.... but some people have posted saying that dinner jokes and antics are more at dinner and lunch is kind of mellow. Not sure if that is true or not.

We were there for dinner in 2008 and it was very fun. Never been for lunch.

There is a bit of difference in the skillet as to the meats that are on the lunch menu. Lunch menu has sausage and not....I want to say brisket, not sure. Check that out, make sure the meat you want is listed for lunch.

My family loves WCC we have only had dinner there and get the skillet everytime, bottomless milkshakes are awesome, too. THis is a must do for us. RIbs and chicken are great. My favorite is the brisket but lunch you dont get it and you get sausage still sounds great. We have friends that have ate lunch and they dont party it up at lunch. At dinner the do the hokey pokey, have the kids race stick ponies and the service is rude and humorous. As far as the food goes you cant go wrong either way.

I especially love their lunch skillet b/c the smoked/grilled bbq sausage is absolutely delicious! I always ask for a side of bbq sauce & they bring this tasty little pitcher full. It is soooo good! If you don't like sausage, the chicken & ribs are both plentiful and super tasty (as are all of their sides)! I prefer their lunch menu over the dinner menu, but the much lower lunch price makes it even better.
