You are correct!!

We got home about 1015pm and she started exploring after she got out of her carrier (w/in 10 minutes of getting home). With in about 30 minutes she was already coming over to me for some petting.

About 1115pm, I brought her into my bedroom and closed the door. Figured she could explore more in the morning. She did do a bit of looking around, knocked a few things down, but slept a bit too. 1st time she fell asleep was literally on my hand. I had been petting her, then she flung her body down on top of the hand and went to sleep.

She is a lover! She's got a good motor too (love the purring).

I got out of bed about 730am, partly because of her, partly due to my bladder, and partly due to the fact that I needed to call DCL at 8am.

I envy Freckles that she will be able to nap all day

Ella is like that too.....she's very vocal. She doesn't purr as much, but she will meow out loud about everything.

Awwww......you had a great first night. The fact that she came right over to you and purred and slept on your hand.....is amazing. She is definitely a friendly cat.

Ella is a scaredy cat. She stayed in my box room hiding for two weeks before she would come out. Now if I call her by name, she comes to me from anywhere in the house.

Ella also loves her name. The more I say her name, the more she meows back at me. You might want to try that with Freckles, especially since she already knows her name.

You will figure out things with Freckles as time goes on. She will come to know you as her mommy. She is sweet because she is such a love. She will shower you with her love everyday. AWESOME!!! I'm so glad you got her.

Ok - I must vent....not sure if I'm liking this person much right now....must decide if I want to continue to associate with them.

I emailed to say that I was not going to be doing something on Saturday that had been planned for 3 of us (not that I had even committed to doing anything) since it was going to be Freckles' first few days in a new place, so I didn't want to abandon her....

Freckles update

Right now she's lying under my chair.....she reached out with her paw a few minutes ago (touched my ankle), to let me know she was there. Of course, rewarded with some petting. She is now almost asleep, but she made a point to lay where she was connected to my foot.

Cats will always pick a spot where they are totally in the way and make it their own. My associate and I often work in his home office and I wind up typing with the yellow lab resting his head on my lap and one of the cats settled directly under my computer screen.


We booked the WBTA for next year, so at least I had some great news today!

The surgeon said he would recommend an abdominal method of removing the tumor- good because I wouldn't need the colostomy bag and the extra surgery to remove it, but he's still concerned because its a difficult surgery to do. All of the oncologists meet on Monday and then they will make a decision on what is best. So we are still getting somewhere slowly but surely!

woo hoo WBTA for next year, as lots of my friend are going. We love to join but problem that kids still school.

All the best for removing the tumor and good that you don't have colostomy bag...

Progress on day two.....we've got the second room half way finished. It's the dining room/kitchen area. We have a freezer in there that we'll probably take with us. My question is: What do I do with all the magnets and door magnets that are all over it from cruises? The freezer will probably go out in the garage in the FL house, so it will be unadorned. I guess I could just file all the door magnets and reuse some of the generic ones. What about all the FE magnets for all the different cruises? Do I file those away too? What do you all do with yours? Do you throw them out?

Checking in for the first time in a couple weeks HI ALL!!

I put a copy of the cruise logo in the scrapbook for the cruise or use it to be the cover of the scrapbook (low tech scrapbooker here--binders with clear cover pocket, 8.5 x 11 inch paper pages and glue with plastic page protectors for small items).

Some magnets live on the inside of the front door to the condo which is steel but the outside--hall side--of the condo door is adorned like the door of a house (seasonal wreath, etc.)

But duplicate magnets are pitched after I take the magnet strips off the back as I use them again.

Supposedly Tyler will be told this week that his dad pulled the plug on his Disney trip. He didn't bother telling him when he was with him last, so when Tyler asked me last week how many days until his trip, I told him he needs to talk to his dad. I'm not going to break the news and devastate him when that's definitely not my decision. Dad needs to see the effects of letting him down. So I texted him yesterday asking him to please let Tyler know so his excitement doesn't keep building. He said he will. Hopefully he remembers.
