Bubba??? Don't you love it when we miss you???

Woody didn't realize we missed him until about the 9th country, I think... ;)

Hey Woody do you know what was the highlight of our summer? I got a tag from the Tag Fairy :lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I would have to agree with you on that.....what was she thinking?

I really don't think that I would want to work in a position that is so stressful. You never get any downtime, you're always available on the clock. I would want to say, Chuck it Charlie, give me some Champagne!

Hey in Air Force One that president had a beer....right before the airplane got hijacked :lmao: He was probably a little less stressed ;) I think it is hard for any person to juggle a "career" and a family. I'm not saying it can't be done. I just think it is hard on everyone unless the person doing it is crazy. I told Jon when Ethan was an infant that I would go back to work but he had to call in sick half of the time and he said "I can't do that". Well guess what, I couldn't either. AND Ethan was a sick baby.

Well, look at Holly. She's lucky to have a job that lets her leave whenever the school calls without getting fired. Most other jobs would never be that flexible. I agree that it's hard and something has to slack off somewhere and it's probably the kids, which is the most important job.

Before DD Sandi got married and lived with us while her kids were little....we all had jobs but we all took care of the kids......she had a support group of her, me, John and her brother. We all raised those kids. Whichever one of us could take off from work and run up to the school when they called, or run to a doctor appointment or to a scout meeting. We all took turns if her job was too demanding and she couldn't get off. You need help. You can't do it alone if you work and raise kids. JMHO.

Hi Marilyn and Deborah......I'm HAPPY NOW!!! I just heard back from Marla at DU......she rebooked me into room 5122 and she got me late seating with an 8pm request. I paid the deposit immediately. NOW I'M SOOOOOOO HAPPY!!!:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:
Yeah!
I checked my email this morning and was 2 min late to work because my CONFIRMATION WAS THERE! :cool1: :lmao: It was so hard to drag myself away from my computer! I went to work with wet hair!

Kathe
We are going to have so much fun!

Hi, Everybody!!

Hope everyone is well!! Posting sure has picked up...I guess all the chatter about the new cruises!!

Glad to see many of you are cruising together again!
Are you going to join us on the EB???

On the advice of one of our rather good friends from California (who just happens to be a cuddle bunny with fangs) I called the travel agent to inquire how much DCL would charge for airfare.

I found out that they will only book Chicago-Orlando-Barcelona-Chicago, but the fare quoted was really, quite, quite, quite, quite, quite good, so I booked it. Quite.

I was actually a bit surprised. When one books the air with Disney, is the fare locked in? Airlines only book 300 days out from travel, so I'm surprised that DCL would lock in a fare. Unless of course they have negotiated bulk fares.

(PS- the bulk of my years of career was in the airline industry in travel agency automation)
Wasn't it amazing? Nan turned me on to it and we got very cheap pricing. However, I called today to add for my MIL and it was all sold out.:confused3 I'm going to keep trying...maybe it might come back??

Thanks Kathe... and Woody...

They just called back to tell us he's out of surgery and they are taking him to ICU... :worried:
Hope he has a good recovery.
Barcelona is boring cause Gaylean's not boarding :rolleyes1
:rotfl:

Ok... they just posted it on another thread... for the 12 night cruise... they are offering Cat 1 for over $20,000... and that's just for 12 nights... (they wouldn't admit to how much OVER the 20 grand...;) )

Knew you'd show up... look above... they're trying to get someone to take the Cat 1's again!!! ;)

Ah yes, I heard my name....I do kinda wish I booked a balcony....but am excited to try a new deck (6). We are in the front, so easy access to Walt Disney Theater.

This was our 8th or 9th trip to Paris, so I would have to say Paris.

We went on a daytrip to Claude Monet's Gardens in Giverny, which was just breathtaking.

Woody

That sounds devine. I LOVE Monet....I have his pictures as prints all over my house. I can't even imagine walking thru the gardens that inspired him. What a trip that is.

Thanks for sharing Woody.

Hey you guys... are you going to chat all night cause if you are... we may need another thread soon... ;)

I have a booked cruise for Xmas 2009 and 2010. Iwas was also planning along Alaska.i could cancel all of these I could book a
cat 11 for the ten night med, seven night repo. And first Baltic this is what I would really want to do. Icould pay the deposits now and pay it off by the month. I. Would be taking both kids, 18 and 12. does this sound crazy?

Well maybe me and Ethan can share a room with Nan and Wil :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: And no one would get any sleep. I would keep Nan up and well the boys would just play video games all night ;)

lord help me, uh ya that would be fun :lmao: :lmao:

I agree. I do know a lot of women that have jobs and they can handle it but the ones that have careers usually have to count on someone to help them. We just don't have that. I know we could pay for it but I never made enough money to do that. There was a cute grandma in the office today making copies. Both the parents are doctors. She told me her back hurt so bad but she had to be there because the child needed her to be there. She of course was a SAHM when her children were young. Her kids feel safe with her being there instead of them. I feel like it is time for her to retire but I also know why she is doing it.

We were on 6 last time and loved it. We were one floor up from kid's club and a few up from restaurants and clubs.
