I am so glad to be back home from work.
Yet another hellacious day. I was in meetings from 8:00 AM straight through until 4:30 PM.
But I'm home and the Chicago Transit Authority (not the rock group) is not making noise behind my house, other than the soothing rumble of the Brown Line as it goes past.
Sukie and I are currently slogging our way through "Upstairs Downstairs - The Mega Collection."
Our current bit of puerile humor is to make a crack about an iceberg every time Lady Marjorie appears.
I think I am nearly an my maximum readiness to be sucked through a time warp into Edwardian England.
Speaking of being sucked through time and space to England, has anyone seen this:

I am so sorely tempted to take a little trip to dear old Blighty.
Ascot starts June 16th, but am I ready? Will I be invited to view the races from the Royal Enclosure? Do I have a hat big enough?
Would it be possible to sneak over to Angleterre and avoid the relations in Bristol and Devizes and not have to have tea with Auntie Chris and the rather unfortunate cousin Sandra, and the other 34,000 aunts and cousins? [Oh, isn't his American accent sweet!]
(You might be able to tell that I have been so battered by today that I'm nearly delirious)
The pity is that BA does not have a special like this in 2010.
