Mon, I talked with my sister and she say, duh, of course have her join us for Xmas dinner. I think I mentioned Boma's @ 4pm (I think) will double confirm as we get closer. Are you interested in coming to any park that day? I know it will be crazy but that makes it fun :dance3: We are AKL concierge so I'm sure there will be a "pre" cocktail party prior to dinner too :drinking1

Let your sis know I said Thanks! :goodvibes

I'll definately do dinner & pre cocktails too :thumbsup2
Not sure about the parks - it'll depend how work goes the day before.

SUPER busy, no time to say anything, probably shouldn't even risk being on here for this brief moment, BUT......just had to share the following message to Bubba from Brent:

How did you manage that?:lmao:
;) I sent the picture with my co-worker on her cruise last week and told her to show Brent and ask if he's recovered yet. :rotfl2: First she showed him a picture of him with Bobby Banana and asked if he remembers Bobby. He laughed about that, then wrote something on that picture. Then he was putting his pen in his pocket and she said, "Oh, wait, there's more" and then brought out the picture of pink Bubba. She said he CRACKED UP laughing and told her he had a great time with that group. :goodvibes

I am so glad to be back home from work.

Yet another hellacious day. I was in meetings from 8:00 AM straight through until 4:30 PM.

But I'm home and the Chicago Transit Authority (not the rock group) is not making noise behind my house, other than the soothing rumble of the Brown Line as it goes past.

Sukie and I are currently slogging our way through "Upstairs Downstairs - The Mega Collection."

Our current bit of puerile humor is to make a crack about an iceberg every time Lady Marjorie appears.

I think I am nearly an my maximum readiness to be sucked through a time warp into Edwardian England.

Speaking of being sucked through time and space to England, has anyone seen this:

http://www.britishairways.com/travel/eccompanion/public/en_us

I am so sorely tempted to take a little trip to dear old Blighty.

Ascot starts June 16th, but am I ready? Will I be invited to view the races from the Royal Enclosure? Do I have a hat big enough?

Would it be possible to sneak over to Angleterre and avoid the relations in Bristol and Devizes and not have to have tea with Auntie Chris and the rather unfortunate cousin Sandra, and the other 34,000 aunts and cousins? [Oh, isn't his American accent sweet!]

(You might be able to tell that I have been so battered by today that I'm nearly delirious)

The pity is that BA does not have a special like this in 2010.

But Dear Friend...

Aren't you due to do your Grand Tour in the Spring???

Please let us know by post if your journey takes you anywhere near our fine city...it would be a shame to miss a visit with you and our dear Sukie...

I think you should get your travel trunks ready but plan carefully... I hear the Bulgarians have gifts for you to bring back...

You ladies are cracking me up!!

BTW - so good to see you Angie - we've missed you.

I guess she did not listen to her mom either! :lmao: :rotfl:

Where do you think we got all the ideas from??? Grandma was a VERY liberal woman... Takes after HER mother who was a sufferagette... :flower3:

:wave2: and :flower3: I miss everyone! Not preggo yet...I had two m/c right in a row, which was odd as I never had one before. So that was a bummer, and a bit saddness. But having 4 great boys makes it easier!

I notice's Gaylean's summary - thanks so much! I think Kelly is also considering the Christmas one? We are debating - with the economy in the pits, it is difficult to plan for an $$ cruise...but I sure would like to have one to look forward to. We are thinking either a back-to-back Wonder in July 2010 (5 day/4 day) or maybe the Christmas one. The Europe one's are out of budget (not that any are!). I will be on the phone in the AM to transfer over our 2009 reservations we made on board. I called Disney and they said all cruises that are 8-days or longer will need a $600 deposit/per person. That seems so high!! The 5 day/4 day only needs $200 per person/per cruise. I wish the deposit was just a little lower.

V - that sounds scary with the accident. Ian - we are heading your way for a conference coming up. I'm excited to see Chicago. We might go see Wicked, as Quentin hasn't seen it. I loved looking at the photos recently posted - very pretty. I especially like the not from Brent to Bubba!

Hope all is well, I don't mean to be a fair weathered friend...you know the whole life that gets in the way of your real life....that is what happens...

Lisa

Hi Lisa!!!

So glad to see you back on!!!

Come visit when you can!!!

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Luckily the only cruise I'm thinking of for 2010 is one of the Repos... and I don't think that that will sell out...(I've promised to kidnap Nan and take her with us if we go...:rotfl: ) (she's promised to give me a chance at actually getting to use one of the stone lounges at the Rainforest...:rolleyes1 )

I'm sort of stuck with all this stock market crap going on so I can't book right away... but I will asap... I'd love to do the other cruises but the prices are just way out there!!!

I think the Wonder cruises are going to be popular especially if they have double dips to CC... :goodvibes
