MOM IS MAKING MY PIE!!!!

I have made 2 apple pies for DrHug in the past week. I have enough Honeycrisp apples to make one more. Maybe tomorrow.

Ok, finally made the Turkey day ressies. It was hard. Most of our favorite local places were out of business or changing ownership and not open yet. This economy is killing everyone.

This is a great place and it's not far. It's got beautiful views since it's up on the mountaintop. I'll try to remember to bring the camera and take pictures.

We're doing a sit down dinner not a buffet. I like that better because I can take home a doggy bag. I will order turkey and trimmings. John hates turkey so he'll order something else.

Their champagne brunch looks good. We'll have to go and try that out. I know mom has been there before and we have ordered cakes from them for special ocassions. Now I'm happy and excited. It's going to be a great day.

Deb, that really looks like a wonderful place. This will be the first Thanksgiving in many years that we have not hosted 35 -45 people. We are "passing the torch" to my niece and her hubby. We plan to go to their house several days before Thanksgiving though so I can help her prepare.

Today I've been freaking about the Baltic. Having to come up with full payment in early February just ain't gonna happen...even charging it with the Disney Visa...won't be paid off before the 0% interest ends. Now this is the complete opposite of how I felt yesterday. Guess I just have to wait and see what the magic numbers are for our 3-share.

The first (and only) time I've ever made an apple pie was last fall when I helped in Tyler's kindergarten class the day we made apple pies! I was wondering how on Earth I'd show the kids at my table what to do when I had no idea! So I cheated and just copied what their teacher did at the next table, plus she had easy instructions on each table for each adult to read. It was so fun and very yummy!
