Just finished another yummmy lunch. Blackened bonless chicken breast served with red beans and brown rice and a side of mixed veggies (broccoli, green beans, yellow squash and red peppers--very pretty).

Always part of my family, but we have the WHOLE family with us, so you may not want to be part of that craziness :eek: I'll check with my sister (next week, she is on vaca in La Paz Mexico now) about adding another person to our ressie :thumbsup2 We are eating at Boma, not sure of the time, does that interest you for real?


Not going anywhere for the holiday, and Lisa won't be coming here so I may just take you up on the offer.....or atleast a meal. Aren't the parks normally crazy :scared1: on Christmas day??? :confused3

We figure the park(s) will be crazy but we are only there for a few days so have to make the most of the fun :woohoo:


If not - do either of the spas onsite have the chairs we love?? :lmao:

We have appointments for Xmas Eve at the spas already in place :cloud9: heaven I say heaven!!!
 
We're back at the hotel again. We had a leisurely day today. We took our time getting out the door and went to lunch first. I had two blackberry crepes at Ihop and they were soooooooooo good. Then we went to Downtown Disney and checked out the Pin Trading and The Art of Disney stores. We moved over to the World of Disney store which is a favorite. I bought ponytail hair accessories that have mickey heads on the ends......I LOVE those.....and I also bought a pink Tink tee shirt where Tink says, "I'm perfect!" It made me laugh because it's so Tinker Bell.

That was all we did. We came back to the suite afterwards and we're just relaxing. I'll be elevating my legs soon.

I talked to Connie before we left for the day. We're on for lunch tomorrow. We're trying to pick a hotel on property that we would like to go to. Connie will get back to me with a time and place.

We'll have some spare time tomorrow after lunch and before dinner. So we're going to rent a watercraft and go boating. We both love that and it should be fun. Then we'll have to pack because it's our last day, we check out on Thursday.

We were saying today how this vacation has been so relaxing yet filled with social and fun events......just enough, but not too much. Unlike our three weeks in May where we were on the go constantly without any down time.

Even though I couldn't swim or go to the water parks, I really did enjoy this time away. I think we both needed it badly and it really did refresh us.

Busy day at work again, even with 3 of us trying to catch up to the Energizer Bunny. I love being really busy at work because the day is over before I even realize it. :thumbsup2

Funny thing. A coworker told me she ran into the office manager in the bathroom, and the office manager asked my friend, "Is Holly staying? I heard a rumor that she is, is it true?" When my friend told her yes, she said, "I had no idea!" :rotfl2: Before the one lawyer gave me the OK to stay, he had a meeting with her and another partner to discuss it, so of course she knew. Good grief, she's nutty! :rotfl:

Picked Tyler up from school, his teacher ordered popcorn, then we had to stop at the bank, go pay a bill, stop at a store, then headed out to see the Extreme Makeover home. Since it was just before 5pm, and most people were still at work, there were only a handful of people in line ahead of us, so we only had a few minutes wait for the bus to return and take our load. We stayed at the spectator area close to an hour just watching! It was SO cool to see so many hard hat people all scurrying around like little worker bees.

The house is two-tone, part is a very pretty sea green color and the other color is sort of a dark tan (I'm not good with colors, but it looked great) and is definitely one of the smaller houses they've done. I didn't see the house before, but if it looked anything like the surrounding houses, YUCK.

The columns on each side of the small front porch will be covered in fake stone. I never realized they use fake stuff, but I watched it being staple gunned onto the plywood that they used to make the square shaped columns. So I guess they wouldn't be called columns, would they? Because they're square and not round. Forgive me, I don't know the right terms for house stuff. Anyway, we watched one "column" get almost completely made, including most of the fake stone attached! These guys are so fast!

There's MAJOR stuff going on in the backyard but we couldn't see back there.

The family is called the Nickless family and it's a widow mom with 3 kids. One of the kids is named Andrew, because the mom standing next to us asked her son, "Do you remember what Andrew's house used to look like? Your friend is going to be SO surprised to see the new house!" I asked her a bit about the family and she said the house was 2 bedrooms (maybe 3, but she thinks 2) and very tiny for a family of 4 and over 150 years old. The reveal is this Friday at 2pm.

I learned that Ty won't be back to Lansing until Thursday. But as we watched, MICHAEL showed up for some filming! I suspect he's definitely not from Michigan because although it was chilly, we didn't even need jackets, but Michael had a long black coat with a black & white striped scarf around his neck and white gloves. Good grief. We were close enough to hear what he was saying for the cameras, and it was hilarious to watch him start waving his hands around while describing what they're doing and to watch the whole camera crew RUNNING after him and around him, etc. :goodvibes I'm sure many of you CA folks have seen plenty of shows filmed, but I've never seen it before, so it was very entertaining!

As we left, I asked a worker if she knows if they need more volunteers for the rest of the week and she says they don't. She told me their website had over 2000 people sign up to volunteer, so they had to shut it down. Wow! I wish I'd know about it and where to sign up. It would have been so cool to be a part of this.

So that's our excitement for the day. I have no idea what time Ty will be there on Thursday, but I'm going again after work because maybe I'll get to watch the furniture get moved in.

fortunately when I called my sister we laughed together. You can't cry so you laugh. I just wish that we could come up with something to keep her busy so she wouldn't obsess over stuff like a braclet in the repaor shop :sad2:

the holidays are coming so that will give us time to be together and then the big trip.

This Thanksgiving will be a real anniversary for Paul and I. We got married on the Tday weekend and this year it falls on the same date. I'm trying to think of something fun to do, maybe I will suprise him with a night at the hotel we stayed at on our wedding night, that might be fun. It's local so easy to do for a night.

Next week we have some friends kids as they are going to Hawaii :thumbsup2

The first 8 years, Don and I stayed at the same hotel as our wedding night every year on our anniversary.....then we fell out of that habit. If you ever get to WV, I highly recommend it. My anniversary (21 years) is this Saturday. I will not even be here...I am going to SC to take my mom to prepare for the wedding the weekend following.

That wasn't a big deal to him because he goes to job sites with his dad often. He was just excited about one of his favorite shows being right here. He was more entertained by the camera guys running around. ;) AND he wanted to buy a t-shirt from the booth they had set up with lots of stuff to buy. I wanted one too, but unfortunately, I didn't bring my purse with me. They didn't have kid sizes anyway.

Hi Jill.....After having cried at your wedding video clip online.....I fully understand what you're feeling right now. It's hard to seperate yourself between your family and your husband. Fortunately you have Matt to fully support you in anything that you do for your family.

John and me are celebrating 18 years together. There have been so many highs and lows along the way......and when we get to have days like today it makes it all worthwhile.
Thanks. Matt is totally fine with not going. He has been great with everything. I am lucky.

Just our wedding night. We were married on 10-4-1987. My job kept us from going on our honeymoon until 10-9. It was so funny because we left for our honeymoon to Hawaii on 10-9-87 at 6:54am 32.1 seconds......do you see it?

The Barvarian Inn sits on the Potomac River....upstream from Washington DC. The Potomac runs though downtown DC. It is the most beautiful place in the whole world. The food is German and so YUMMY!! Okay...now I want to go back:lovestruc :lovestruc
 
Yeah, they increased the original med (Risperdal), then decreased it back to the original dose when there was absolutely no change, then added the Concerta for the impulsivness. I assume we need to give it some time to see whether the added med has any effect. But we were only given a 15 day script of that one with no refills, so I'll have to decide before that runs out so I can call the Dr. and either ask for more or try the Adderall that he also gave us 15 days of.

Adderall is amazing. Its the only medicine that works on me. However I have 2 different kind, regular and XR. They work totally different on me. On makes me focus the other gives me energy. My Dr. says thats rare since they are supposed to work the same but does happen. I take the regular since I need energy some days. But it has some strange side effects in the beginning though so just watch him. Noramlly they wear off within a weak though. I only take it for school so I just deal with the side effects. All that to say I would try the Adderall if the other doesn't work.

Thanks Jill. I'm going to give it time to see what the Concerta he's on is supposed to do. His focus already was fine and so was his energy level, so he's ok there. Now he's got even more energy, which probably isn't a good thing, but I want to see what happens over the next couple of days. Last night he was up until after 8:30 I think and was awake this morning at 6:30 (1/2 hour before the alarm was supposed to go off). That's amazing because he used to fall asleep by 7:30pm and was hard to wake up at 7am, so in that regard, it's good stuff, but that benefit has nothing to do with his school problems, so it doesn't matter I suppose.

3 teachers talked with me when I picked him up today and told me he's really starting to catch up quickly after just 3 weeks of school, so they have no doubts he'll soon be at the same level as the other 1st graders. They told me they're absolutely amazed at the things he knows and just how smart he is. Well, of course they wouldn't tell a parent otherwise....DUH! But his major issue is just controlling his anger and keeping his hands to himself. They told me today they're all working together to come up with ideas to help. His main teacher told me she'd considered just not letting him do recess because he just can't handle it, but she realizes that of all kids, he definitely needs that exercise. She considered having him skip "specials" classes, but then he'd be losing the benefit of what they learn in those classes. So they're all trying to come up with more ideas. I jokingly told them they could hog-tie him for each of those classes, then he couldn't hurt anybody. ;)
