I guess it shouldn't be, but it feels it! There is a wind, which is usual in the Canary Islands so it is all very deceiving. The Canary Islands are famous for burning people as you don't realise how strong the sun is with it being so far south.

Tell the hollandaise I said hello :rotfl2:

Hello back.. it was wonderful!!! My Sunday morning treat... I eat better the rest of the week...

The irony is that they sought to drive Church Street Station out, which is now long gone, and now Pleasure Island itself has fallen.

Well you know how we all need more restaurants in our lives...

OK, do you & others want me to be your coach?

YES!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Oh boy, Tyler's making a door sign for pirate night with both our names on it! He just asked me how to spell "Holly" and when I asked him why he showed me what he was making. I hate to tell him that sign will be lost LONG before we're able to cruise again.

Laminate it Holly!!!

Hi All! We had the best time yesterday with Monica and Lisa and Darrell at the Food and Wine Festival. Lisa put up some great shots and here's just a few more:

Hey...you two weren't drag racing around Epcot yesterday, were you???

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Hey, I was wearing pink for the Champagne Girls since I did partake in the bubbly. I don't know what John's excuse is???

He was wearin his Lost Boys Beer shirt!!! :goodvibes

I think we have spoke of this before. I guess it never happened. I know others would be thrilled as well. I really need recipes that are good and filling. The work involved doesn't bother me. I just need them to be good tasting. I'm lucky because I am not too picky.

I'm ready!!!

OK kiddies, the sun is shining and it's beautiful here in Florida.

We saw Sandi and the boys last night back at the hotel after Epcot. Joe didn't come so we had a nice visit.

I talked to my cousin today and he's really sick, sick, sick. So we did a telephone visit and we won't be going to his house. We'll leave him be miserable all by himself. The last thing he needs now is company.

We can't do Typhoon Lagoon tomorrow because I can't get my leg wet. Bummer! We'll probably go to Magic Kingdom instead.

Today I want to go to the millenia mall and find the carvel so that I can have an ice cream sunday and then maybe we'll go play some mini golf.

Ta for now!

Have fun Deb!!! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Michelle it sounds like we have to start being really good. I'm starting next week. I'm not sure what day. We both have to look at our schedules.

I'm back from 3 rather incredible meetings. Incredible in a good way.

I've started a walking/running/hopping/rolling/skipping/anythingyoucanmeasuredistand club.

One of my meetings has his over 1300 miles as group. I think that's incredible

I wore a baseball cap backwards because the topic was "Look Back and Learn."

At two of the meetings they said I looked like a frat boy .. or maybe that was phat boy ... or might it have been fat boy? My hearing isn't what it once was.

I'll be happy to coach people here, but regarding recipes and such, really e-Tools, your meetings, other members, and WW cookbooks are your best source of inspiration. There are a wealth of recipes in e-Tools.

I also recommend getting a good basic WW Cookbook. They sell a huge one at Costco called, "The New Complete Cookbook" for about 6 bucks or so, and it is excellent.

Not eating meat at home, I'm not a very good source for meat based recipes.

But I can help with motivation. The best place to start is to think of it as a life change and not a DNA transplant. Life after goal is very much like life before goal. It's a balancing act of intake, activity and changing habits.

I think it's also developing patience and kindness with one's self and setting realistic goals. We often want the weight to come off as quickly as possible, but I think developing insight into the habits and behaviors that caused the weight to come on is extremely important, as keeping weight off needs a fundamental shift in these.

I think 3 good starting places are:

1. Understanding hunger and satisfied signals (vs. boredom, thirst, etc)

2. Keeping special things special (is it special if you eat it every day?)

3. I.P.F. - Items (what is it). Portion (how much). Frequency (how often).

I thought Adderrall wasn't a stimulant. I think Tyler has that one.
The doctor told us Concerta and Adderal are the same, both a stimulant, both act the same, just that one or the other can cause a side effect of EXTREME irritability, so if one does that we were to switch to the other. We started him on Concerta and haven't had that problem, so we'll stick with it. I'd thought his dad was going to start him on the Adderal first, because long ago when I mentioned Concerta he dug up a bunch of statistics on deaths from it (which you can find on anything), so I figured he'd be against that one. Whatever....so Concerta is what he's on plus the Risperdal.

:lmao: You are so right about being excited with seeing the sun, but honestly we aren't in it much!!!
Marilyn, I'm glad you and John are having such a nice time! And lots of sun too! Just be careful not to burn. You can enjoy it from the shade just as well. :goodvibes

That was a good start Ian. I feel more motivated already. Something Dr. Phil said made me think. He said that if you weren't getting thinner you would be bigger by next year  I can't handle that.

I have a few friends on the extended release Adderrall and I swear someone told me it wasn't a stimulant but you should know more than me :lmao: Maybe they just said the "speedy" side effects were less :confused3 I know the people that have tried a few, do like that one best but these are kids with ADD or ADHD.

Oooh, you're lucky! I'd much rather sell candy because I don't like popcorn. Hard to act excited about something I don't like. ;)

I don't like popcorn either popcorn::  I have to REALLY be in the mood or starving. I like the cub scouts because they told us there was no pressure to sell a certain amount. They said it sells itself. I hope so because that's pretty much what happened with the girl scout cookies.
