OK, I'm out of here. Can't keep my eyes open, past midnight, have to get up early, etc. The new med we added yesterday makes Tyler wired and over active and not fall asleep until 9 or later, which is nice because then we have more hours in the day together, but I'm not sure how that will work with getting up early for school though. I suppose, since it's a stimulant, as long as I can at least get past the angry, tired, trying to wake up Tyler and pop the pill in his mouth, he should be fine.

BUT.....he's WAAAAYY more jabbery and bouncy than normal, not in a bad way, I was having fun with him, but that probably won't be good for school, so we'll have to wait and see.

Goodnight all!

I THINK THAT SIDE EFFECT GOES AWAY AFTER A WHILE. MAYBE KELLY KNOWS.

Good grief, I hope so! It was happy jabbering, but he'll get into trouble in school for that for sure. It's not listed as a side effect though, at least on the information that came with the med. I don't mind, and it's nice to NOT have him falling asleep at 7:30, so it's fine with me as long as it doesn't affect him waking up on time for school.

I can't imagine using this on a kid who already IS hyper and inattentive, good grief! For Tyler, the doctor gave it to him to control his impulsiveness. If it controls that, then I'm ok with it making him talk and act like Speedy Gonzalez. ;) At least nobody will be getting hurt anymore.

Maybe Brooke needs that  She is sleeping even more now

I think it has the opposite effect on ADHD kids. It makes them mellow out. Maybe they would talk more but not climb up the walls. I have no idea because my kids are super mellow. Ethan would rather read all day in his underwear than hop around or talk :confused3 I think he may be a D and D freak when he gets older. HAHA.

Yeah, it is supposed to have the opposite effect on ADHD kids. Strange how it does that. Oh well, I just do what the doctor tells me.

OK, I just got my pajamas on, now I'm really headed to bed. It's 12:30!

Finally sitting down for a moments peace. I'm exhausted.

I lead 2 WW meetings this morning and then Sukie and I went off to do our shopping.

I'm sorry to say that I have nothing to report. It was uneventful and very quiet.

I think that we all need some uneventful times between all the eventful times. You know, just those days were you can relax and breath.:hippie:

 everyone. going back to continue catching up.
