So, all the Eastcoast folk are sleeping in this morning. Good for you!!!:thumbsup2

It is a warm day today - caught me off guard and I was too warm out.:confused3 I see the sun!:yay:

I'm the baby of two and I was the black sheep all through growing up. Now that life has ended, I'm the one responsible for everything. How did that happen???:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

that's always part of the family deal, isn't it? she says mouth dripping with scarasm...:rolleyes1

I am the baby of the family and I got stuck with all the responsibility too.

Not quite sure how that happened because I'm not even particularly familial.

Good morning all!

Good morning Marilyn!

My you were a busy bunch overnight. I would have posted my good morning about 45 minutes ago, except I was catching up on posts.

It's dark and it's raining here.

I am going to be jumping in the shower any minute (I may just stand there too) to get ready for today.

We need to do our grocery shopping, which we did not do during the week.

Sukie wants me to show him how to use the Wii Fit this afternoon. I'm also going to work on finally downloading the photos from our cameras.

In addition, I have to get ready for my 3 WW meetings tomorrow morning. I need to review the topic, research some quotes and tally up the distance from the 3 walking/running/rolling/hopping/cavorting clubs I've started for the meetings to see how far the members have gotten towards the destinations they chose.

I understand they really missed me last week, which is nice to know.

I also expect it to be extremely busy tomorrow, attendance and new members joining should be way up now that Labor Day is behind us.

Also, I will weigh in and see the damage done during the wedding and honeymoon, though I was right back on plan the minute we landed in Chicago. I need to get back to my goal weight, which I had been making progress towards over the summer.

If I don't I will be put on an action plan, which is a good thing, because I need to set the example.

I've also taken to wearing a pedometer all the time to assess how much I'm walking. My goal is to do 10,000 steps a day. If you can't measure, you can't manage.

I guess things are back to normal.

Quiet here today - guess all the night owls are still sleeping :thumbsup2

We're sitting around waiting for a bed to be delivered. Then Darrell is going to watch college football all day and I'm going shopping!!

I just looked up Tortola Cat 11 for Sept 12 without air, you can get it cheaper, and without insurance, you can get it cheaper. I did include ground transfers and the price was $2889 for all four of you. YOU CAN DO THIS! Then ask DU for a quote. They'll hold it for two days and then release it if you don't put the deposit down on it.
That's great for 4 people! :goodvibes

Could somebody do me a favour please?

Our 2 grandaughters coming over with us next May need a new princess/fairy dress. I have been trying to get a price comparison between the Disney UK store and the Disney US one.

I just can't get the US prices as the US site just sends me back to the UK site all the time.:confused3

Could someone look them up on the website and give me a range of prices please?

Thanks.

$39 to $89 - I just bought my niece the Giselle dress for Halloween and it was $89.

Thanks Lisa!!

Our daughter was thinking of buying them one for Christmas(from here of course), but I said that the girls would be in wonderment at them all in the World of Disney Store in DTD next May, and might want to choose one from there.

They could be more expensive though. Depends on the exchange rate.

They will have a blast - what with all the accessories and everything they carry there. They might want to check out Bippity Bobbity Boutique - they have packages that include the dresses and some of tjhe acessories.

Looks like you may have what you need already. Let me know if you want a specific price on a specific dress. :thumbsup2

That's kind of you Nan. I'm not sure they are any cheaper over there unfortunately. I thought they might be. Not sure if they are the same though. What I saw in the DTD store over there looked better quality than I see on the Disney UK website, though i have to say that could be the pictures.

$2617 for me & Tyler, Cat 11 (no 12s available), with ground transfers & insurance, without air. That's only $200 less than what you found for Gaylean for 4, so it's a good deal for her!

Should we get excited here?;)

We are up not so early and heading out to Wilson's baseball game. He started Fall Ball this week. Just one more thing to add to his every growing over scheduled life. I'm a bit sad for Molly as I don't have her in much other than girl scouts and church kid's club at the moment and Wilson is always doing something, racing, baseball, scouts, I guess it isn't that much more than her, jsut seems like a lot since he is at the track so often. Next weekend is a club night race on Saturday and then a regular club race on Sunday, then the following weekend we head to Reno for an IKF race. Then the month is gone poof like that!!!

Step away from the car keys Nan...

Its one happy meal and your toast!!!

Ian will be on in a bit and will tell you how many points... and then we'll both hate him for it!!! :lmao:

& I do it for the toy too... ;)
I used to be a McDonalds junkie! But because of fear for Tyler's weight, and wanting to get that under control while he's still so young, I haven't taken him to McDonalds (and I haven't gone alone when he's gone) since on our way home from the cruise in May at an airport. Now whenever I think of McDs, or when somebody at work has it and I can smell it, I get nauseous! Looks like I finally broke that addiction! :thumbsup2

Good morning all, It's actually been cool and overcast here for 2 days. We are usually warm at this time of year (like last weekend.) It's been a busy week here, first PTO meeting (it was run better than most businesses I've seen - they raise $350K at the spring benefit alone!) Also, my sister's b'day - we watched The Great Debaters (Xllnt movie), Back to school night, tomorrow is our school picnic. Whew, exhausted. I am getting a bit done during the quiet days though.

Been watching the storm and train wreck - whew what a mess.

Not sure if the festival is going on at DL too. Maybe another left coaster will know better than me. I can't wait to taste the champagne at France......and they'll have food and wine kiosks all around world showcase. I'm excited.

John said he's going to get a grand marnier orange slushie at France......ew la la!

Our food festival is nice, but a smidgen of the size of the one at Epcot.

It's very different from DL in that there are four totally separate and different parks......each one of them unique and cool. You HAVE to check it out. There's also two water parks and downtown disney and disneyquest and cirque de sole and Richard Petty driving experience and pleasure island which is all clubs and drinking. How could you miss it???:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I agree 100%

Oh, I forgot to say that I have my very first DOLE WHIP at Disneyland. I see what all the fuss is about....VERY YUMMY....had another one the next day! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

And did I mention how good the pork chop was at Hook's Point? :thumbsup2

OK...bye......really........buh-bye.

I had my first and only dole whip at DL a couple of years ago. Never knew about it until I got on the disboards! Funny, how you can walk past something a million times and have no clue what it is!!!

that would be the difference between you and me, I'll take a Pibb or Pepper anyday over alcohol ;) I'm a talker remember...for me it is the caffine and carbination

Dr. Pepper - YUM !

We have an outlet nearby that has them at about $29 - $34. Also, Ebay has great deals this time of year because of Halloween. Costco always has good selection as well. You may be able to get Costco online. We are members, so if you see something you want we could get it for you.

Should we get excited here?;)
No, not for me. I was just looking out of curiosity and was surprised at how little difference there was between the price I found for 2 and the one Deb found for 4 for Gaylean.
