well I have work party tom night I don't think it will be same as I am not keen on it now as lots of my working people pull out. it is summer party as everyone dress up like holiday clothes.

I think I go for a wee while then off to somewhere with my friend erm maybe jump on plane to LA but if I do that your party might finish

I was so busy today, I couldn't take my lunch until 2pm. It was great to stay busy nonstop because my day flew by! Then a nice dinner and a beer with 1 coworker and 2 former coworkers and now a couple beers with my DIS friends! I sure love Fridays!

Got back from hospital, I hate it, waiting for aged!!

Anyway, Olivia got small cracked in her toe so need sole shoes for one or two weeks.

Ian's parent saw it and thought it was broken but it was not. I am glad that.

Olivia is happy now.

I forgot where are you going in 18 days ? I know not Tenerife.

Glad Olivia's toe isn't broken, but being cracked will be painful!!!

We are going to La Gomera, which is a small island off the coast of Tenerife. We fly to Tenerife and then get a ferry from Los Christianos over to the island. It is a long day!!! La Gomera is like a volcano and there are no roads around the outside of the island so you have to go up and down snaking roads, and a journey that would take about 10 to 15 mins from where the ferry docks opn La Gomera to the site takes around 45 mins. We have been twice before, and I am still a bit scared of the roads.

I'm finding it impossible to keep up now that I am retired! Good morning all! We are still RVing it in Missoula. The house here closes Monday and then we will leave to go get our stuff out of storage...by way of DL! We will be at DL Wed and Thurs of next week then Dennis will go to the USC/Ohio State football game on Sat and we will leave with our DS, DDIL and DGS and their stuff. We will go thru OR and pick up our stuff and be back here to unload on the 17th. DS starts work here in the 18th. We are having a good time here reconnecting with relatives and good friends.

Ian - I love the outfits! I like that the were similar but not identical. I figured there was some symbolism there, so thanks for explaining it. Glad to hear you were nervous, but everything worked out great! Every wedding has to have something go wrong, you just had your wrong thing early with the whole trip to Canada!

Not Canada's fault. We still love Canada and all you Canadians (the civilized North Americans).

We just had a bad lawyer doing our paperwork, that's all.

Second time's a charm.

Plus the expensive hats and real bow ties must have created positive juju for us!

Wow, very relaxing! The last picture you posted, I can imagine sitting in one of those lounge chairs by the pool and just watching the water of the ocean. I read the info and it says they have an "internet room" onsite, so if you do get bored, you can pop in and chat with all of us occasionally!

Hi everyone. Just a quickie, because we're heading out the door for in a moment.

So, let's see how this trip has been so far ...

Yesterday I finally mastered tying a bow tie.

Oh, yes, I got married...

Quite frankly we were both nervous and completely stunned. Sukie kept waiting for something to go wrong. I kept waiting for something to go wrong.

Nothing went wrong.

It was wonderful to have Kelly and Jonathan as our witnesses and the clerk couldn't have been better.

Kelly and Jonathan had a DVD going in the mini van of My Big Fat Greek Wedding, and a CD of the wedding march.

It made all the difference in the world to have friends as the witnesses and know that you were all there in spirit.

I guess everything just lined up right this time. It certainly felt more real than our attempt with Canada. Last time we didn't even know what to wear. This time, the attire was carefully planned.

Aside from the pseudo Edwardian motif I was striving for, there was additional meaning behind "the look."

It was intended to be old fashioned and us looking like two old "confirmed bachelor gentlemen" as people used to refer to unmarried men such as ourselves.

We ended up not going to Napa Rose. We were still too full from our lunch at Cafe Orleans. We had a 6:30 PM reservation at Napa Rose. I tried to change it to 7:30 or 8 but they were booked up.

I couldn't see eating a big dinner if we weren't hungry (that will teach me to eat a Monte Cristo).

OK, more later and perhaps some more photos. We're off to Disneyland.

Oh Ian, I'm so glad you made time to drop in and share with us. I'm so happy everything went and is going so perfectly for you and Sukie! You both looked very spiffy in the outfits you chose. Great choice! Now, get back to having an awesome time!
