Sorry this is long, just sharing good news.

The school occupational therapist, Ellen, just called me to say that she's been peeking in Tyler's classroom to see how he's doing and has been in close contact with his teacher. The teacher mentioned the licking he does but says he does a good job of using the chewy around his neck when he starts licking too much. They're going to just observe this week and let him get adjusted to the routine, and then will determine the best times for his sensory breaks, based on what times of day he seems to start getting antsy or overwhelmed, and will put some sort of schedule together for him next week and she'll be calling Siiri (his outside occupational therapist) again to discuss what types of sensory activities would be helpful for him during the school day. Ellen (the school OT) is also going to see him every Wednesday morning and will check in on him regulary because she says she's in the school 3 days a week. She also said the special ed teacher will start seeing Tyler either this week or on Monday. She says he has a special needs child himself and has been working in the Lansing area for many years in resource rooms in other schools so has lots of experience helping kids with all different issues. Ellen says she's heard about Tyler's improvements and feels optimistic that this year will be a very good one for him with all the help he'll be getting. Great news!

Well that deserves a few of these...

Thank you. I'm barely standing. My back really hurts. I'm not doing anything extra. I know it will get better and if it doesn't I'm going to the doctor.

Try heat... I can recommend those heat wraps from Thermacare but don't get them with the wrap around band... it's uncomfortable... just get the ones for the shoulder and stick it on your back where it hurts. It will last 8 + hours... you can find them in CVS by where they keep the stuff for sprains and stuff like that...

Wasn't that the original time? I thought they moved it? Maybe to 2pm?

I think it may have been moved because I cannot get my butt out of bed early... but also because they really needed time to get ready and tie those bow ties... :)

wow, that is a long walk! Molly will bridge over the GG bridge from Juniors to Cadettes in May so we will be doing that exact walk....one way only:rotfl:

When I bridged over it was a 6 foot makeshift wooded thing - but we had fruit punch and cookies when we were done!!!

 AUNT SHELL!

:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: MONICA!!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

I've only walked on it one other time, I think in college.

I have had the idea of her bridging in my mind since Kinder.

She could have bridged last year, but I was on a cruise :rolleyes1

Since her mom is the troop leader, her mom decided to wait another year

Sometimes I love being in control, can ya tell :rotfl2:

Really??? Nah... not you!!!

1 of the issues that is depressing me.....no surprise really--this has been such an issue for me for soooooooooooooooooooooo long.

I think I'm about 3-5 lbs heavier than when I left the cruise (not too bad but adding it to how much I was already over weight :rotfl: )

Hard thing is that since I'm so down & so mentally/emotionally exhausted I can't get off my tail to do any type of exercise.

I really want to try to do SOMETHING before my trip to Spain - I really don't want to deal w/ my father's reaction.

Yeah... I hate my fathers reaction but that's usually because I'm not married... :confused3

No not next year. Hopefully we don't have to put down 2000.00 on Oct 22 for 2010 because if that's the case we aren't going. Will you take the kids out if you have to?

Start saving spare change... it can add up... ;)

I know how you feel about your dad. I avoid people sometimes because of this. You are too exhausted right now. Give yourself a break and just try and maintain for awhile. I've done that before and when I was ready, I lost. I'm not ready to give up summer foods and drinks just yet :sad2:

Ahhhh... Gaylean...it's summer there most of the year... HERE it gets to be WINTER really soon... :rotfl:

I was thinking of bringing him some vodka but I didn't know if Sukie would like that :lmao:

Sukie doesn't drink... make it sparkling cider...

All this talk is making me hungry. What's for lunch?

Well I had a boiled egg and a slice of home made bread followed by a yogurt.

Then I ate a bag of licourice.:rolleyes1

We had cold salmon and salad with new potatoes folloewed by strawberries and ice cream for tea.

Michelle & I have chocolate chip cookies at home--but her's are homemade (mine are from the Publix bakery) :lmao:

Sorry Monica...but by the time they'd make it there... they'd be GONE!!! :scared1: (I got really hungry, ya know...)

You are under paid for doing nothing :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Just kidding I have no idea how much money you make.
For our geographical area, I should be making about 3 more dollars per hour based on my years of experience. But Michigan has such a high unemployment rate, it's hard to grab a job as people are willing to work for less money. However, it's plenty enough money for all our needs. But in CA I'd probably need to make double what I make just to get by.

Monica, I can so relate......when I was on diettogo I lost almost 40 lbs in 2 months.....I was doing 1200 calories a day. Then I quit smoking and gained it all back and then some. Now I'm doing bistromd and it's 1200 calories a day again. I'm losing 1 lb every 2 weeks. How slow this is as compared. My metabolism has slowed down so much since quitting cigarettes.

I started thinking maybe I should smoke again until I lose all the weight then quit and maintain. BUT I WON'T GO BACKWARDS. So I have to lower the calories and add the exercise to burn the calories and it's going to be so very slow and so very hard. UGH!

We share the same boat sweetie and it ain't easy and it's no fun!

I have no choice, I have to get it done for my health and for my legs.:headache: :headache:

Maybe I should start smoking ;) Maybe when I start working I won't eat as much :confused3

Those are good. We got some for Ethan's b-day before the Nick Hotel. He's not a huge fan of cake so we got cookies.

I climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge, does that count??

Yeah... I hate my fathers reaction but that's usually because I'm not married... :confused3

My dad is happy I'm not GETTING married - he knows I want a DISNEY wedding (or atleast the reception on property) & he knows it's PRICEY!

I've have had an exercise bike, an optical trainer, mini trampoline, ab machine, stretchy rope thing you do sit ups with. I now have 2 hula hopops, weights, exercise ball and the WiiFit!!!

Nuff said!!

Congratulations Ian and Sukie!!!:cool1:

Thanks for the info. Jon used that once but I completely forgot about it.

My mom's complaining was always about the fact we were married but didn't have any kids. We were married at 21 and we had Ethan at 25

I'll be able to pay for the cruise before it happens. I'm worried about having to pay a 2000.00 deposit on 10-22-08 because it will get booked like the last one.

I know it's summer year round. That's why I'm so fat :lmao:

I know he doesn't drink. I just didn't know if he liked Ian to drink. I hate being around drunk people when I'm sober.

Sounds good. I'm eating a steak quesadilla. It sounds like you like to cook just like me.

Ya but how much is your mortgage? It all equals out.

If you book online entire deposit is needed at time of booking....

If you call and book over the phone w/ DCL -- res will hold even with just a $250 dep (or whatever amount). Little known tidbit...res won't cancel out as long as there is $ on the res w/o DCL calling you first (but SSSSHHH you didn't hear that from me).

My problem is that I'm allergic to smoke  Makes my throat start to close up. :scared1:

I think I am too. I can't breathe for a few days after I'm around anyone that smokes. The sad part is that both my parents smoked while I was growing up so I had severe breathing issues.

Ya but how much is your mortgage? It all equals out.
Yeah, I know it does, we all had that discussion a while ago. My mortgage is only $561/month! :goodvibes (includes property taxes and insurance).

I think I've had most of that too but not all at once. Can you still hula hoop? I can't. You know what is strangely a good exercise? Standing on a sit and spin and twisting back and forth. My kids don't play on it anymore so I use it.
