Hey guys... :goodvibes

Don't know if this will go through... but if you google Clear Lake TX you will know where I am...

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=clear...um=1&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&resnum=1&ct=title

Ditzy relatives went to bed an hour ago still believing that all will be well... told me not to go to the store... so I went to Ben & Jerrys instead with my nephew...if I have to put my life in danger than I might as well be happy with Cherry Garcia in my tummy...;)

The weather channel is now talking about it vearing off a little into TX... which means us... oh happy...happy joy...joy... I hear that we MAY go to the airport and ride it out with the go team for my BIL's plant (He's in charge of several chemical plants in the area... I hope the marriott is hurricane proof. Of course they have not told me yet whether or not we actually have reservations... ):confused3

Oh... I really do think she is adopted... my sister I mean... although she does look alot like me... and maybe the milk man... I don't know...

Maybe doing longer cruises like they did in the Med?

Deborah... I did it... first time worked like a charm... migraines went away and so did alot of stubborn muscle spasms I had had for years... the second time, I got horribly sick (with pleurisy because they did my neck and a bit of my back along with my TMJ) That was over 5 years ago and to this day part of my right cheek is still numb. I would thing about it long and hard before doing it anywhere from the neck up...

Well Jan... I just got here but the nephew is super happy that we are here and will celebrate his confirmation this weekend and then maybe get out of town really fast if Gustav comes a callin... ;) (it is times like this I would much rather have a blizzard upstate than a hurricane here...)

And I wish I had a certain little green fuzzy butt with me... I do miss him... :thumbsup2

HA!!!

Try being the fourth kid!!! School pictures if I'm lucky!!! The only family pictures we have are of me being pulled in one direction or another because my mother told both my brothers to "hold onto your sister"... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Good info on the Botox.

I too am familiar with blizzards and not hurricanes. But I don't want either :rotfl2:

Are you going for find a Planky to live at your house? :thumbsup2

Love the picture story! :rolleyes:princess::princess::rolleyes: Need a photographer smilie!!

Jan :earsgirl:

Michelle, you're right in the Warning area. They are saying that the best thing you can do is watch your local news stations and do what they tell you to do. They are now also saying that it's going to hit on Monday, so you better consider getting out tomorrow if they tell you to. They are saying that it will hit NO or slightly to the left......where you are.....or it can even go a little to the right. They're not certain yet. They are saying that it will be worse than Katrina......the worst and most dangerous in 50 years. You could leave and they could be wrong or you could leave and they could be right.

I can't believe your sister's complacent attitude about it. It's like the boy that cried wolf but this time it was for real and everybody ignored him. Oh Michelle, I hope you can convince them to err on the side of caution and that you all go North to safety. You should try to make a back up reservation just in case they didn't do it yet.....you can always cancel, but it's going to be hard to find a vacancy at the last minute.

Good Luck Michelle. Stay strong and be smart about it......keep eating that Ben and Jerry's!

Thanks Deb... I'm sort of hoping that they cancel the confirmation tomorrow... I'd rather come back for it than have a false sense of comfort and act like nothing is wrong...

Apparently I'm the paranoid one in the bunch... & my mom's here with me too and we're both worried.

I'm watching every channel I can get my hands on... believe it or not... cable is hit or miss tonight... don't know why... both CNN and the weather channel is spotty...

I have a flight out on Tuesday but they said they may close the airport early on Monday if not tomorrow night if they know it may move... Galveston is starting to evacuate - we're in the second wave... they are trying to avoid what happened with Rita when my sister DID get caught up in that 100 mile back up parking lot of a freeway...

I'm sort of stuck with my sister and what she does... I do have a rental, but with a major storm coming, I'd rather turn in the car than get stuck with a wreck here in Clear Lake... They do have enough cars... we just have to get them to LEAVE!!! :headache: :headache: :headache: (by the way...this is the best smilie I can find at the moment...)

And can you believe that in todays mail the city sent around the plan for evacuation??? You would think they might take it seriously this way... You see... they DID leave for Rita and it was nothing... so they aren't taking this one anywhere's near as serious... I give...

Can I go to a wedding in CA????? :confused3

Oh, I'm really feeling for you Michelle. You're stuck between a rock and a hard place. You're doing everything you possibly can, good job....keep it up. But it must be so frustrating, especially since the family is desensitized. This one is supposed to be nothing like Rita. I pray that they get some info tomorrow that will convince them to pack it up and get out.

You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Wouldn't it be nice! Keep that spirit up. You'll be fine!

I think I might take that booklet that the evacuation plans came in and smack her upside the head with it... ;)

I of COURSE will be blamed for causing the LATEST family fight (it's ALWAYS my fault...) :sad2:

I just left a question on Planky's :thumbsup2 trip report for him.

In case anyone wants to know :rolleyes1

It's time for me to go watch Big Brother After Dark. GoodNight Jan and Michelle. Sweet Mickey Dreams and lots of prayers that Michelle's sister sees the light and tries to get the family out of harm's way in a hurry!

Jan likes to remind us what drivel we came up with a day or so ago!!! :lmao: :lmao:

Planky's ghost writer thanks you very much :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes (she was getting quite lonely, you know...)

Unfortunately, yes, but she is shorter if that makes up for anything... :upsidedow

Night Deb... hope you feel better tomorrow!!! :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

One afternoon, a wealthy lawyer was riding in the back of his limousine when he saw two men eating grass by the road side. He ordered his driver to stop and he got out to investigate.

"Why are you eating grass?", he asked one man.

"We don't have any money for food," the poor man replied.

"Oh, come along with me then."

"But sir, I have a wife with two children!"

"Bring them along! And you, come with us too!", he said to the other man.

"But sir, I have a wife with six children!" the second man answered.

"Bring them as well!" They all climbed into the car, which was no easy task, even for a car as large as the limo.

Once underway, one of the poor fellows says, "Sir,you are too kind. Thank you for taking all of us with you."

The lawyer replied, "No problem, the grass at my home is about two feet tall."

Since Holly started it, I will add my favorite lawyer joke. This one even made my lawyer friends laugh. Two of them love to parachutte too. :rotfl2:

WHAT DO YOU CALL PARACHUTTING LAWYERS?

SKEET!

Jan

Have Fun and hope you WIN!
Oh, I had a blast! No winning. Let's say I donated $30 to that wonderful native American tribe! ;) I was there way longer than I'd planned because I was having too much fun with the penny and 2 cent slot machines!

So, I didn't finish my yard, and I'd left all my yard stuff sitting on the lawn because I'd planned on coming back to it. Now it's too dark to deal with putting it away, so it will just be ready for me in the morning.

Could be a bit of everything. His dad swears up and down he doesn't give him much sugar, but I know for a fact that he sends a juice box with his lunch (not necessary because the school provides milk) and most of the time when I pick him up on Saturdays, he has candy with him. But he says he'll work on what he gives him, so we'll see.

Food additives can be a real biggie with some kids. Have you looked into the Feingold method? Maybe something there would help explain to Tyler's Dad why he needs more nutritious choices.

Oh, she's actually asked me (way back when she was speaking to me :lmao:) how I get him to eat veggies at dinner. I told her I put them on his plate and he eats them. :rotfl2: She says he won't eat them over there and I told her it's because he knows they have other options available. He knows I don't. I did tell his dad yesterday how he was even eating peas the other day, which he absolutely hates. After every bite, he'd say "yuck" and would keep eating them. :rotfl: He really only wants green beans with every meal, but I didn't realize we were out of them and I wasn't about to rush up to the store before dinner, so he had to make do with peas. He told me he doesn't like them but will eat them because he wants to do what his doctor told him to do. :thumbsup2

:yay: YAY TYLER !! WAY TO GO BUDDY! :cheer2:

Jan :)
