I keep laughing at this stuff and Wilson looks over from his cartoons and says "what's so funny" and of course I have no answer for him, he rolls his eyes at me

This is quite funny but I'll never forget the time we had before the cruise....my kids thought I was a wack job! There were times when Jon asked me if I could breathe

It will be lovely when you and Marilyn pay for my flight for my babysitting fee

Gaygay, you survived a day at the beach with DMIL I'm so proud of you. and we do miss you both. you missed drunk Venetia last night. She kept looking for Cindy, but could not find her.

We were in Cabo to today. The Carnival pride that we are on had a medical emergency and had to stop for the sick or injured person to get off. We got to see our beautiful Magic today. We have now left cabo and are on our way to PV where we will dock next to her tomorrow.

I know that each ship is different, even within a cruise line, but this is the worst I have ever seen in the way of service, attitude and cleanliness. On our way back to the cabin just now, we came down some stairs from the upper deck and on the railing was an ice cream cone that had been there so long, the cone had melted along with the ice cream. Then at the bottom of the stairs is a food station where someone had dropped what must have been a plate of chicken tenders and fries by a sliding door and no one had bothered to clean it up. I know we will not sail Carnival again EVER. and this is a 7 day cruise. Not to say everyone is not nice, we have meet a few crew members that are friendly and happy, but not may. Last night at dinner my DMIL brought a bottle of wine for dinner. I was going to have mine with my lobster dinner. The waiter from the table behind us reached in between Bubba and I and grabbed my empty wine glass. And then when he was called on about why he would take mine and that what he did was rude, he just laughed and said "oh well, some one took mine." This of course upset my DFIL very much and I'll just say that he let his disappointment be know.

But I am having a good time being with the family and not letting any of this ruin our trip. Just know that we won't be traveling carnival again. I would like to try princess as I have heard good things about them. But when you have already traveled with the best in everything, food, service, shows etc, it is hard to appreciate something at a lower standard. You see things on this ship you would never see on Disney. And one last thing before I stop rambling,

people say one reason they dont like to cruise Disney is too may kids, I have seen more kids running around uncontrolled here the I have have on the two Disney cruises we have taken.

Sorry you are having such stresses. Did you report that waiter who took your wine glass to the Head Waiter or Diningroom Manager?

How are the shows?

Did you take any excursions?

We went on a RCCL once and that was enough. They insisted on serving each plate as it was on the menu. I did not want the potato but it came to the table. It was no temptation, but certainly a waste of food as no one else could have it then.

The theater shows were like my nieces' and nephew's Show Choir performances, not Broadway caliber like Disney.

We went to check out the Children's areas as we had seen what they had on DCL even though we had no kids and wanted to compare. The rooms were small, had low shelves with paper and markers and such and little tables, like a kindergarten under a stairway. No wonder we saw kids all over the ship, running the elevators up and down and up and down, hogging the hot tubs--there were only two-- and running in the halls. They had nothing better to do.

We had two pools, side by side, filled with OCEAN WATER so it was cold and did not look clear and clean. We had two hot tubs, near the pools. The kids were in both hot tubs. We were not comfortable getting into a hot tub with a bunch of children whose parents we did not know. So we did not get our bathing suits wet in four days.

Smokers were allowed to smoke anywhere. They had ashtrays and signs on the Port side of the ship, but people smoked all over and no one said a thing.
As I recall, the only way to the theater was along the deck on the port side or through the Casino--smoky either way!

It was Halloween. Some of the adults had costumes I did not want to see, let alone have a child see.

Not our best vacation. Even a problem on DCL is better than that cruise.

hope all is well with everyone. I am trying to download pics but something seems wrong with the camera.

It's been a crazy couple of weeks. We had a RIF at work and now we have mandatory PTO days this and next Friday. We made it through the storm butit was a nerve wracking all the waiting. Of course we closed the office and schools were closed yesterday and really didn't need to be.

Samantha loves school....she got hit on the first day - her seatmate, leans over and says, hey I am Bernie, what's your name --- and he reminded me so much of one our frineds who is a big player....it was funny. hopefully if my camera cooperates I can post her pics.

I'm glad you guys are ok. Did you cry when you took Samantha to school?

Seriously, it's great that you can be at the school event.

Besides, a little birdie in upstate NY told me that you had arranged for pony rides at our celebration dinner in the parking lot of Dunkin' Donuts.
