Jackie.. neither one of us is going to remember the tram ride down... ;)

I've lived in the midwest for 25 years and I have always wanted to go to Mackinac Island. To make matters worse, I believe wecould use DVC points to do an exchange and stay at the Grand Hotel.

Hey - I've just realized - I've got an anniversary - I have officially been a Chicagoan for 25 years! I moved into my first apartment in Chicago on August 5, 1983.
Well, happy 25th anniversary being a Chicagoan! ;)

Ian, here's something even worse: I've lived in MICHIGAN for 37 years and have NEVER been to Mackinac Island, never even seen the bridge, but Tyler has been over the bridge twice already! I guess I'm a permanent troll. (For you non-Michiganders, that's what the Yoopers call us who live "under the bridge"). Oh.....and Yoopers are those who live in the U.P. (upper peninsula). Say ya to da U.P., eh? (Sorry, a Michigander joke).

It's SUPER yummy! I thought it tasted like whipped cream with slight cherry flavor. Very creamy. The best drink I've ever had!

Holly - how did the med check appt go?
It was great! Dumb & Dumber didn't both show up. Apparently she couldn't get off work, so it was just his dad. Yeah, right. I suspect she's either still too mad to be in the same room as me, or she's embarrassed about how she was acting. Don't know, don't care. His dad and I both told the doctor all the improvements we've seen, and I shared what the school has been saying. The Dr. gave Tyler a high five and told him he's proud of him for doing so well. His dad told the Dr. all about his friend's autistic nephew who used to take the same med (at 8 times the dose Tyler takes) and how they switched him to a different type of atypical antipsychotic med, etc. The Dr. told him, "Well, you have to understand that people with autism are much more sensitive to medications and the side effects that don't usually show up in people without autism." And that was the end of that subject. ;)

The Dr. wants to keep him at the same dose, with med checks every month but he'll space them out more if he continues to show good results. Then maybe after another 6 months, he wants to wean him off to see how he does. I wasn't sure about that, but my best friend who is a nurse told me that's common practice for that type of med. She says usually after 6 months of good behavior, they cut the dose back to see if the good behavior continues on its own. Ok, makes sense to me. :thumbsup2

No way would I share my drink! It's way too good not to have the whole thing. It's just like drinking a shake. Yummy! And then it hits you about 1/2 hour after you leave! :lmao:

I'm game - but no cherry or nuts please.

Btw - if Mom doesn't want to come I am in my stateroom by myself :goodvibes (then you can make sure I make it back to the ship & vice versa)

I'll make sure you make it back :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Oh ya, I won't be there :sad1:

We'd be happy to have you stay! :goodvibes

Yes, Tyler picks strange books from the library. I was telling my dad about one time he picked one about nuclear waste. My dad then laughed when I told him about the time Tyler picked a book called "Crossing the Delaware" and I literally fell asleep reading it because it was SO BORING. I've always hated history, it always puts me to sleep. Figures I'd get stuck with a history nut kid. :lmao: Another favorite library book was one about the Exxon Valdez. He was telling my mom about that event and she couldn't believe how accurate he was. Talk about dry reading. Yuck.

:thumbsup2 But what a MEMORY!!

This kid is going places. So many people forget what happened yesterday and then are doomed to repeat the mistakes of others. Tyler will be able to remember what happened and if they listen to him, be able to help them prevent the same mistakes.

:cheer2: YAY TYLER! :yay:

Jan :woohoo:
