Very humid here today. We went to our local park and had a coffee at the coffee shop there. We sat outside people watching, in the warm humid weather, and realised it felt like sitting outside the food court at POFQ as there was some jazzy music coming from the coffee shop. It felt soooo nice and made me happy!:)

It is going to rain however!

That strange as it is heavy raining all this morning :sad2: kids don't want to go out today.

About Nero - it is very straighforward much better than photobucket or magix which I bought the packaged last year and I disliked it.

I prefer Nero and you can up load it first and see if you like it then buy it online.

I think Nero got new one now as my friend bought it and much better than my one but I don't mind as I enjoyed used it.

I read in the newspaper on the way to work this morning that the other night when we had the bad thunder storms and the tornado warnings here in the city of Chicago, that there were 9.361 lightening strikes in the Chicago area.

Wow, that is amazing.

Holly - its great that things are going well with Tyler. This may be a weird perspective, but its probably good that he hasn't morphed into a perfect child. The meds are helping him learn to handle things, but like all kids (and adults) it takes time to learn.
Almost exactly what I tried to explain to Tyler on Monday. :thumbsup2 He was telling me that most of his friends never get into trouble. I reminded him that he used to be in trouble every day, but now it was only once last week, so I assured him things are getting better. I told him the medicine won't magically make everything change and that we all are trying to help him learn and remember alternate ways of showing frustration and/or anger. I told him everybody has noticed how he's able to calm down much quicker than before and that he's doing a better job of listening and acting when people remind him of certain behaviors he shouldn't be doing.

I asked him how he feels about having 4 good days at school in a row last week and he says it feels good. So hopefully that will continue this week. :thumbsup2

Thanks Deborah, I'll give it a try! :thumbsup2

Good morning/afternoon everybody! Here I sit, bored again. ;) You know, I've been thinking I probably wouldn't like to interview for any more new jobs because I might actually have to do some work! I'm quite enjoying not doing anything all day! :lmao: Just kidding.....it can get boring. I updated my resume last week on a local website here for job postings, and a law firm found me and called me yesterday for an interview. I haven't returned the call yet because I wanted to check them out online first. It's a small firm, 6 lawyers, 4 of them are women. I do NOT handle working for women very well. I don't know why, it's just something I don't like. However, I will still interview with them because perhaps I'll be lucky enough to get to work for the 2 men there (one of them is very cute!). It's just tough now because any new place I work will have to be flexible with Tyler's appointments and the possibility of me getting a call from school to remove him. I have total flexibility at my current job, with all the appointments and even if I want to participate in things at his school. So I'll likely stay where I am for now, as long as they keep giving me raises. Most people here get 25 cent raises every year, I get much more (one time I got $2.00 and for the current year I got $1.00), so they do appreciate me for some reason. I must be good at looking like I'm busy! :rotfl2:

Holly, apart from being bored where you are some of the time, they do seem to look after you and that is important at the moment. Perhaps going for the interview and finding our how the land lies would be good then at least you would know.

Yes, I do at least want to go for the interview just to see what they have to offer. Doesn't hurt to see what's out there. And who knows? They might be just as flexible as my current employer. And it sure would be nice to have medical insurance and paid holidays and vacation pay and all of the other nice things most employers offer (except mine). I'm going to call to set up the interview soon. :thumbsup2

Dianne said she had to wear a sleep mask because of all the flashes!

Goodmorning Thieves! I may be calling in sick today, had two crummy nights sleep and I'm exhausted. Got my desk all cleaned up yesterday, so it won't be a burden on my team mate if I stay home or go in for half a day. I'll decide after I have some tea and protein (nevertheless...I'm going to be late).

I just had a DUH moment. I read that and I was thinking how to they get a part lightning strike and why out to the first 3 decimals? Then I realized it was 9thousand+361 not 9. Time to fully wake up and get to work.

Good morning everybody!

I thought the same thing and wondered why he thought 9 lightning strikes was a lot! :rotfl: Now I get it! HOLY COW, that's scary!

My interview is today at 3:20!!!! I had a long talk with the womam who scheduled it. She basically asked me all the interview questions over the phone. They have great insurance, from the sounds of it. I asked around the rumor mill of lawyers in Lansing, and I had only one person say something negative about one of the lawyers at the firm, but everybody else told me she's on her way out. And I do remember the woman I spoke with mentioning one lawyer moving to Florida soon. One person told me they're a great bunch to work for and they recently renovated their offices and they're supposedly beautiful now. I was told they're a very successful firm and that there's no shortage of money there and to ask for lots more than I'm making now. :thumbsup2

Looks promising Holly.:thumbsup2

I have caught up to Aug 3 on our thread. No posts of photos from Planky's site and as I found these there, posted Sept 30 or 31 I decided to copy them over here for everyone to see. (Planky: I told you I was a fan--this will get more pals to your site-- http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1810009 ) Must say, some of your cousins might need a trip to the Attitude Adjustment Center themselves. They seem to be an angry, vindictive bunch.

Laptop is back from its Attitude Adjustment Center. So far, so good. It is on a test run. I have yet to download the photos of the MULE seen in St. Louis however. I hope to get to that later today.

Jan :thumbsup2

Jan... I thank you kindly...

Planky does indeed have some competition... (This does NOT include little Planky from Deborah:goodvibes ) they have invaded his TR several times and seem to be doing a really bad and as Ian says... UNIMAGINATIVE rip off of Planky's adventures. They have an imposter going on the EB repo under the name of ALGAE and also has a red headed Minnie traveling... ala Tammy (I'm waiting to see if Minnie shows up with a Hickey...)

I have heard that imitation is the highest for of flattery... but they can take that flattery and shove it... :worship: :worship: :worship:

For now... Planky will be writing for his true fans - mostly those from our wonderful trip who shared so many wonderful experiences with him.

I hope that you will indeed continue to enjoy Planky's adventures which will update this weekend when I get my furry little butt (wait... that's Planky's) home to edit his latest... :yay: :yay: :yay:

:rotfl2: I was just about to say, "Um.....that's a problem we don't need to know about" until you clarified that statement! :rotfl:

Michelle, I'm confused. I thought you left for the lake yesterday until Friday and I thought you said there was no internet there. What's up?
