I think I'm gonna eat the rest of Tyler's bag of cotton candy. He won't notice. I doubt he even remembers he had some left. ;)

I don't know about Tyler but my kids wouldn't remember. I let them eat all the candy they want on Halloween and then I throw it out and they never know.

Facebook

Facebook continues to puzzle me as to what exactly is it's rationale?

Apparently I'm one hell of a popular guy, because this week, much of the universe wants to be my pal.

I accepted the invitation to the group for people who grew up in my neighborhood in the 60's and 70's. I moseyed over mainly to see if there was anyone I remembered, and primarily to assess if they looked better or worse than me.

Nobody I knew.

I also received an invitation from Mike who is a friend. We have known he and his partner Tim for about 10,000 years. They've been coming here year after year for Thanksgiving. They flew down to WDW for my 50th birthday party.

Mike sent me a friend invitation. They live a few blocks away. I find myself wondering why he didn't just pick up the phone.

Then there are the ads that Facebook apparently thinks will be of interest to me.

So far, I have been offered the opportunity to:
  • Become buffed
  • Have the body of a 20 year old guy (I'm not exactly sure the context in which this was meant)
  • Meet sexy men over 40
So, I still struggle with the point.

I'm scanning a few pages back and found this. I'm not a huge fan of facebook but continue to look at it because I have found friends from the past. I came on after a long weekend and found that I had 50 requests. I'm not really sure why people do these and I only accept some. Sorry if I don't send them back, I don't think this is what it is about. I know Myspace has a bad reputation but there are times when I get on and only have one comment or nothing at all and it is always like an email, not a request to add something to your page. I want to stay in contact with my facebook friends but it isn't the BEST THING EVER!

I try to outdo Gaylean on the overnights but it just hasn't happened yet...:lmao:

Don't bother. I try to post less and I'm still on top. I don't think it's possible, especially if we are both trying ;)

Happy Summer Sunday everyone.....I'm wayyyyyyyy behind in my reading and will catch up in a minute. Just wanted to say hi to all of you and let you know that things are moving forward again.........yeah!!!.....and couldn't have happened without the help of all of you. So many thanks.

Gonna go catch up, but wanted to say that I was exploring the Epcot Food and Wine Festival that's going to be going on while me and John are celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary.....what better way for us to celebrate since our first date was at a wine tasting. There are so many activities going on. We just want to have an international dinner paired with wines......and maybe some champagne......after all I am the co-originator of the champagne girls.......I must have champagne too.

Kathe, I know you did a Greek dinner last year. What was the name of the event that you did. That's what John and I want to do. From the websites I found, it looks like it might be called Regional Feasts. Is that correct? Anyway, it's fun having a mouse vacation to plan for again.....even if it's only a mini one.

Going to catch up now.....I don't like being behind......I want to know what's going on with all of you everyday......last I read, Jackie had just gotten her new car after her auto accident, Cheri was still waiting to get hers.....!

Deb, I am so glad to see your sunny face here again!!

I did the refresh thing for a while but then I gave up....except, that must be a lie because I just did it and you replied :lmao: I was cooking and decided to check back but thought no one would respond. Maybe this is a lesson. You have to post to get responses.
DUH!!! :rotfl2:

Hey Lisa, did Daniel have a good birthday?

Well, yes, I would say he did. I was at the beach house with my nephew and his girlfirend. The rest of my family was home because of work and church. After church, Daniel and Don (DH) played golf, while I drove home from the beach. It was a nice easy 3 hour drive with no traffic....doesn't usually happen when you need to drive all the way around DC. I got home and went to Costco (and laughed when my bill was $302.56, after all my coupons). By 6pm we were all home and we went to Red Robin for dinner (YUMMY) and we have been watching the REDSKINS in the Hall fo Fame game.

We almost lost Daniel when he was born (the placenta abrupted and we both almost bled to death) so he was in intensive care for several days. The very first time I got to hold him was 3 days after he was born. Don and Daniel and I watched the Hall of Fame game that day and the Redskins were in it that year too.....so this is kinda neat.....

I am so tired now....going to sleep soon, the Redskins are winning now...

I can relate! I think I had two friends who were really interested and wanted to see pictures, etc. I just forced it on everyone else!:lmao: :lmao:

I wrote a 13 page typed trip report with photos--some Tom's and some from you all! I set it to a few people who asked for it and a few who did not. I told them if they did not want to read it, that was OK, I could not remember who wanted it. :rotfl:

Got some nice feedback from those who wanted to see it and some of those who had not asked. Many said they had no idea it would be such an interesting trip

They just don't KNOW Disney! ::yes::

Jan :)

And besides, I'm not laughing AT you, I'm laughing WITH you! :rotfl2:

Everyone I know thought it would be more interesting than it was. I mean I wanted to have fun and they thought it was so cool to go through the canal and wondered why we only had 100 pictures of that :confused3 That day was so hot and A LITTLE interesting BUT, if you have kids, it was A LOT annoying. They were tired and hot and so was I. Jon took so many pictures so I'm not sure why people thought we needed more.

OK, it's after 11pm, I pumped myself with sugar and am now about to crash, so I'm headed to bed. Sorry Gaylean, I know it's early out there, but maybe Jan will hang around a bit.

Goodnight all! :cloud9:

I shouldn't be here anyway. I'm suppose to be spending time with the family. I only come on when everyone is out doing something else ;)

That's true! I like to laugh, even if it's about myself. I'm not sure about the Ian thing. I thought you only laughed at me :rolleyes1
Oh, I laugh at everybody, and like you, I even laugh at myself. :goodvibes I'm just a happy kind of person. :yay:
