That sounds good. I thought the cream sickle one sounded good but I can't remember what was in it now. I'm sure you don't have all those ingredients just laying around. Which ones were guys thinking about?

I hope work dies down soon. Eventually, everyone will like the new computers and they will be easier for everyone.

That's the one I want to try.

Creamsicle Margarita recipe
Ingredients
1 1/4 oz gold tequila
3 oz orange juice
1 oz sweet and sour mix
1 scoop vanilla ice cream
6 oz crushed ice

Mixing instructions
Blend all ingredients until slushy. Serve in a margarita glass.

just need a few things and a stop at the store can be done on the way home.:thumbsup2

That is just heaven  I can't imagine drinking a lot of those  but one never hurt anything. Maybe, if I like them, I will serve them at Brooke's B-day party and the kids can have them virgin. You guys can't come cause you'll be in Mexico :sad1:

Marilyn, did you get your AP's through DVC? Hope so, they can save you a lot of money.

Glad to hear that everyone in California is doing fine. had a friend who moved to San Jose from here tell me he would much rather deal with their earthquakes than our tornados.

Been dealing with some medical issues so haven't been on for a few days. Every time i think that I am going to stay caught up something comes up and I am 20 pages behind. I am trying though.

Carol

Hoping today is a good one!!

Jan :)

Good morning everybody!
I came into work early for a trial, and of course it still hasn't started yet, and I've been here for 3 hours already:eek: only 9 or so hours to go. Oh well, its a legitimate excuse to check out disboards. :lmao:
And I had to take a cab in this morning because my van's in getting the wipers fixed - I didn't think of it yesterday:confused3 , but its getting fixed at the dealers, so I should have asked them for a demo car to drive last night

I painted the front landing and down the stairs a nice soft sagey green last night - poor Ken, its much greener than he thought it would be. He called it "dis-green" when it was still wet, but it dried much more subdued. This little project started as just re-doing the floor, but then we added in painting the bottom off of the stairs, and now that's done and the top half and trim all look crappy, so next week I'll start painting those, and then we'll finally lay the flooring down. Today Ken's going to order the new kitchen cabinets :cool1: :cool1: So in a couple weeks, we'll be demolishing the old stuff.
Now I should get back to work. Hopefully, I can take a break later in the day and check in again. This place is such a nice sanity break!:hippie:

:thumbsup2 Sounds lovely!

Jan :yay:

We were on the same trip Michelle. I remember everyone grumbling about their similar trips that day, but our guide and driver were very good. However Acapulco did nothing for me. I didn't hate it like Gaylean though. It felt seedy and run down - not the locals' fault, just the end of a great era I think. The vendors were a big pain, though of course their livelyhood is going too as tourists stay away. I felt it was sad.

Acapulco ---> poo

(Just my opinion)

I wonder if the tourist towns will reinvent themselves. Will they see that tourists come on ships, stay for the day and leave. That tourists want CLEAN and DIFFERENT not more of the same. So local unusual things and events will be promoted instead of everywhere you go the crafts are the same and the sales folks practically attack.

It will be interesting to see what changes.

Jan :confused3

Hey, guess what. This is the first week EVER that I've been on time to work every day that Tyler's with me! I'm always a bit late because it usually takes soooo long to wake him. But every day this week, he's hopped right out of bed when his alarm goes off, all smiles! And that's even after the whole day in the hot sun at the fair yesterday! AND he stayed up an hour later than usual last night! :yay: It's truly amazing!

:cool1: THAT IS SUCH GREAT NEWS!!:yay:

:thumbsup2 WAY TO GO TYLER!! Tell him we are so proud of him! ::yes::

Sorry to hear you aren't too goos. Hope things improve and you are well very soon.

Yes, I did order the AP's through DVC!!! I heard ticket prices might go up on the 3rd, so thought to get in before.

Wow, that is one great result and so soon!!!

I look forward to meeting you (where you say???? hmmmm a little secret is in the air and soon to be revealed...)

Just popping in to say "hey" and wondering where NotSoLittleMermaid is - although I hear rumors she's heading down to Phoenix this weekend!

I think I have an idea what your secret is!!!:) :yay:

I saw Cherie on the Photo of the Day but not over here.:confused3 That isn't allowed!

Hey Peg. I thought of you last week at the Steely Dan concert, when they played your song.

Woody

I've never seen them live, must have been great!

You don't miss a trick - many don't even know that's what they are saying in that song! "so won't you smile for the camera... Peg, it will come back to you..."

Another of my fav's from them... DO IT AGAIN!:dance3:

I thought it was interesting with all the VW bugs there... it was sort of "Where the Bugs went to die!!!"

I didn't pay attention this trip, but I remember when I was a kid and my mom would take me to Mexico every year a couple weeks before spring break, and all the taxis were VW bugs.

:drive: We noticed the multitude of VWs from Deck 10 after we got back from our excursion and from Deck 4 as we watched the kids waiting for the characters.

Our excursion was to Rock Island. It was dry and hot. We took a hike around it and learned about some of the plants from the tour guide. The old toilets had been put along the path to the bathrooms, filled with dirt and were used as planters. So it was quirky :tilt: and unique.:upsidedow

We had a great lunch and they had two native dancers, a guy doing Aztec dances and a lady doing more modern stuff wearing a fancy dress.

The snorkeling however......

We had to walk down some uneven cement stairs with an inadequate handrail which in some areas was non-existant. The waves were rough so we got knocked down trying to get our fins on. When I broke a nail I was so mad I gave them back. The water was so rough it had dirt in it and floating cottonwood tree seed pods and litter. It was hard to see the fish and when we did see them we could not identify them. Getting out was hard also due to the rough waves and we were knocked down several times. We are not little people, but we could not maintain a footing on the sifting sand with those waves.

When we got back to the ship we SHOWERED AND SHOWERED. We were so tired from battling the waves (and from my increasing lack of electrolytes--:yay: Gatorade!!) that we stayed on board instead of exploring the city. I washed sand out of all the pockets in Tom's swim trunks and he still found more in them in Puerto Vallarta. We left sand on the floor of the shower, bathroom and room. We apologized to our Stateroom Hostess and she said it was fine. When we got back she had it all cleaned up. I only wish I had saved some of that sand as it was more like little shell pieces than Castaway Cay sand. I have seen that kind of sand in the Carolinas.

Your reports make me think I would not have been impressed if we had gotten off the ship and walked around either.

Jan :sad2:

Hi Marilyn. I'm checking in. Today we didn't even get out of our pjs. We made chocolate cupcakes but for some reason they aren't rising like they should. I was thinking of you when I made them because I know you love cake. I'm making chicken enchiladas with green sauce for dinner and that reminds me of Venetia. Now I just need to find someone that reminds me of champagne :lmao:

I need that turtle!

I'll try. You were in training, and becoming proficient. In Kung Fu, the main character was in training when he was younger. When he could take the pebble from the teacher's hand, his training was complete.

Woody

Ahhh, Master, I understand. :yoda:

Jan

So he needs less sleep and one of the side effects is sleepiness :confused3
Sounds strange to me too. But a couple doctors in the past told me the reason he sleeps so much and falls asleep at odd times is because all the activity going on inside him, the anxiety, the stress of the aggressive acts and being irritable, and the sensory overload everywhere he goes, is physically exhausting. And the med is supposed to reduce some of those things (the aggression, irritability, and anxiety), so the result is that he's not so exhausted all the time. I definitely haven't seen any sleepiness as a side effect, even though it's listed as a common side effect. I also haven't seen the increased appetite that's also supposed to be common with this drug. :thumbsup2
