A storm just started. I hope it stops before I have to lug my jewelry case & other stuff from the car to the house for the party! The girls had planned on margaritas by the pool for their party, but it looks like that might be rained out. Unless it stops. The weather report says it's supposed to storm from 3-6pm and the party starts at 6, so it might be OK. :thumbsup2

Ian is right. Facebook is creepy. I just got a message from a girl about my 20-year class reunion. Haven't seen this girl since high school. She told me I haven't responded to the invitation. Gee, I'm trying to avoid it because I don't want to go. I never would have imagined they'd track me down!

Marilyn, I let V know you're wondering where she's been. :thumbsup2

Thanks Holly - I do miss her and others. So sad, but understandable, that so many don't post.

Would be nice to know how people are doing - after all we prayed for folk, chatted for months, got to know them as much as you can, and then this is it!!!:sad2:

Ah well, we have to get used to the passing of time I suppose.

Michelle,

Thought you would like to know that I caught an artical in USA Today last weekthat explained the cause of your stones is Glogal Warming.:scared1: At least that is what the story would like you to believe. It left me wondering what else they can find to blame on the so called Global Warming. Can't good old Mother Earth just have a natural warming trend, after all we are comming out of an Ice Age.

They claim that because of global warming people tend to dehydrate more which has caused a spike in the number of kidney stone cases. So Now you know, all you need to do is drink a lot:drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 to avoid future problems with stones.

Beer??? I've got to drink alot of BEER????

I have a feeling it's the water in our area... we live very close to Saratoga Springs and they have mineral water springs up there and something tells me that I have more minerals in my water than I think...

& the only thing Global Warming is doing is melting my ice cubes quicker!!!

Interesting though... :)

Note to self: No jeep tours with anyone from Arizona.

Woody

Well that was Jackie's ONE and only accident - so I assure you she's safe. I have had a few fender benders, but nothing big, so I'm pretty safe too. Hey, you've driven with me!!!:confused3

Hi Peggy, nice to see you :flower3:

Cheri pmed you

Nice to pop in on you too:yay: !

Monica, Deb, V and Carol are MIA too. And PJ - what has happened to her. :sad2: We miss you all. I know Angie will be busy packing - anyone remember when they were supposed to be moving?

I'm still around - just a bit now and again. Hope all is well with you!:wizard:

Hi Peg! Good to see you....how are you?
Hey there girlie girl! I'm doing great, was up in Prescott last weekend and although I missed seeing Cherie we (my pal Barb from N.M.) and I had a great time at the Parelli Clinic (horses). I actually got to take a photo with him, shake his hand and visit briefly. He's amazing as a matter of fact he and Caesar Millan (Dog Whisperer) are working on a project together. Although Pat is a horseman, they are both "natural" trainers.

Ok, back to work for me!

Cherie - hope you are not sore anymore and are home safe and sound in your sleepy little town. I cannot believe how COOL it was up there after the rain 67! WHOO HOOO I was ALIVE again for a moment. Back in Phoenix 103 today with humidity (for us). UGH!

Blessings to all!

Well you are not getting rid of US that easy!! :) We plan to have a lifetime friendship with you and John! :thumbsup2

It was cold in Church this morning, and it was sunny outside! Such a cold N wind!! Everybody is so fed up with the weather here.

I did see Nan at church - she has put weight on though!;)

This week I have also seen Cork, Kathe and Jackie.

I saw Marilyn's Mother a couple days ago..... but it wasn't her...

Jan :earsgirl:

Kelly,

When would you need it by? I'd have to review the DVDs which might not be today. I also have Reefer Madness on DVD if anything from that would be of any help?

I'm looking for pictures any time in the next 2 weeks. Do have the capability to make copies of Reefer Madness? I'd like to have that if you are able to make a copy of it. Thanks.

Though I don't NEED to be at your lectures, they do sound like you make them interesting and I would like to be at one.:)

Britain has a huge problem with teenage drinking and I imagine the cocktail of energy drinks and alcohol if not already common would soon be a problem. As a country we are not tackling it at all.

You'd love my presentation for grandparents. It's all about being aware of what's out there, how and why kids use and all that grandparents, aunts and uncles can do for early prevention.

Our popularity is from mixing humor with a very serious, dry, boring, depressing subject. We've become experts at combining humor with science to make it fun.

Yes, I'm following the problems in Britain of all kinds of addiction, behaviors and their research on THC. There are quite a few countries that have banned energy drinks now. Since they are not regulated by our FDA here they are running away with the money until they do become regulated. There are thousands of hospitalizations here that are mimicking cocaine overdose, it is the Taurine and Caffeine mixed together that is causing a synergistic effect harming the heart and causing heart attacks. When it's mixed with alcohol it is a disaster to the brain, stomach, liver and CNS as well as the heart. Bar owners and Red Bull are well aware of it, but they are all making money hand over fist, so they don't care what is happening to people. It's a fascinating story. Very reminiscent of the tobacco industry. :scared1: :scared1:

:flower3: Well, I got up at 5am to get all my work done and then took off with Zoe to DL. We spent the entire morning at Toontown playing and ate lunch. Then she took her birthday money to the World of Disney to buy her first snowglobe. She was very excited. It was very cute. Then back to work and to say hi here. :flower3:

Michelle, just say the bottom of your post about your family - that is too sweet.

Ian...

Sterile cotton????

She's coming up with new ones, me thinks...

We have cotton wool that is soft fluffy cotton used for taking face cream off, dabbing wounds etc. Sold in a variety of ways..

I know we used to call it something and for the life of me I can't remember. Not sure if it was cotton wool or something else.

Then of course there were lots of terms I grew up with that I'm sure have fallen by the wayside ... I remember my mother going to the "crockery store," which was a place that sold things for the kitchen. I also remember grocery stores, and dairy stores, where they made their own cottage cheese and you bought things like butter that was measured out of a big crock and then bought by weight.

Thanks Kelly... That's Stitch's saying... :goodvibes

Are you sure you're not as old as you say Sukie is???

I still have a little old lady here that makes her own Mozz cheese... REALLY good... :lovestruc

I'm so glad tomorrow is our final evaluation appointment with the psychiatrist about Tyler. I hope he gives us a prescription tomorrow. This morning Tyler was crying hysterically and told me he wishes he was dead. How awful for a 6-year old to feel that way. Just heartbreaking. Later, when I managed to get him calmed down, I asked him what the heck was that all about, because it just came out of nowhere. He told me he doesn't know. Poor kid. :sad1:

Holly, I don't know what to say or how to console you or Tyler. I thought about this all day. I know this is terribly difficult for both of you and wish both of you the strength you need.

I could only imagine going to a high school reunion. And I do find it creepy being able to be tracked down.

Kelly - I'll start going through the DVD towards the later part of the week. And the answer to your question is yes.

Are you sure you're not as old as you say Sukie is???

No I am not as old as Sukie, thank you ever so large.

He is 4 years older than me. George was still on the throne, his mother had a ration book for him and the festival of Britain was in full swing.

Remember one thing. One thing only and never forget it ... I'm the young one.

(Addendum - When I was born, "Kiss Me Kate" was the big hit on Broadway.)

Hi Kids...not caught up yet....

Well, they totalled my car....but they haven't called me with the $$$ amount they will be giving me, so no shopping can begin yet!:sad2:

...back to catch up...

.

I was born during the Mary Poppins age... :goodvibes

Hey Ian... are we starting our countdowns to our birthdays??? Could get big... look at what they did for Nan... or rather... what Nan did for Nan...:flower3:
