The Toy Story Mania Meet was this past Sat at the Studios. Dreams Unlimited and a few other sponsors rented out the Toy Story ride from 9:30pm to 12:30am. I think they said about 500 or so were able to get in. They had a great dessert buffet too. It was a blast. Unfortunately we aren't able to post any pictures from the event.

But there were some medical concerns so it was a scheduled c-section 9 days earlier and all the problems were avoided.

Baby is here.
Sophia Tosha was born this morning. Mother and baby are doing well. I talked to our kids this morning and afternoon. They are both overwhelmed by the miracle of it all--this morning there was a belly, now there is a baby and Friday they get to take her home, they do not have to leave her in the hospital.

Hi everyone!!
Hope you are all doing fantastic!

We have 106 DVC points that need to be booked and used by 8/09. Since I don't think we are going to make it to WDW before then , we are considering renting them. I thought I would ask here first, is anyone in need of points for an upcoming trip? I would say that the 106 is good for a studio at most resorts during most times....although maybe not a full week during peak at some of the higher. It can also be used for a few nights in a larger unit. Our home resort is OKW, but that doesn't matter now since we are under 7 months for all bookings, so you can book at any resort with availability. I thought I would ask here before I put it out onto the DVC rent board...so if you are remotely interested, PM me asap and we can talk!

Happy Tuesday....I'm personally hoping for the major snowstorm they say is coming to hit tonight so I can be snowed in tomorrow!

Hello everybody! I'm tired of this cold weather crap. Yesterday I forgot to bring the cord to plug the van in at work, and by the end of the day it was dead. Luckily I work in a plant full of men, so it was no problem to get someone to come and jumpstart it for me. But by then all the repair shops were closed, so I couldn't do anything about it. I was supposed to go mail xmas cards yesterday but they were closed before I could get there because of the van. But then I was meeting a friend for dinner, and we had a great visit and the van even started after my 2.5 hr dinner chat. So I got home and plugged it in, and thought I'd be okay this morning. Then I headed inside at 9pm, and wrapped xmas presents and packed them up, for Ken to deliver this week while he's in his work town. By then it was 1am and it was definitely time for bed. Then today started crappy, because the van wouldn't even start. Just click click click and nothing. So waited and hour for the AAA guy to come and get it started, and then waited for it run long enough to charge up enough to drive. Then got it into a shop and its getting a new battery. And I'm sick of the cold weather! What really sucks is Ken's been saying the battery is going, and I had Walmart do a battery test when I got my winter tires on, but Walmart said it was fine. They were wrong.

I am tired of winter too. I would like to decorate palm trees, indoors and out.

there is a house in downtown Indianapolis that has more lighted up trees and wire statue things than a store. I wonder if it confuses the airplanes

they have several white wire palm trees with red lights outlining them.

My families did a name draw a couple times, but now nobody really does. We just buy for the kids now, so that makes life easy.

We just give cash to our kids, grandkids and a gift for my mom now. DrHug's parents are both gone.

My Granddaughter is here. All went well with the c-section and baby is fine. No pictures yet.

Hi All....I'm sitting here in the hotel room with the back door open to the ocean. It's warm and sunny and there's palm trees. How nice. When we left it was snowing and then icing then raining. We went from winter to spring overnight. We left PA at 8pm and John drove straight thru the night and we arrived in SC at 9:30am.....not bad considering the weather. It's normally a 12 hour ride that we did in 13 and a half hours. We also had two stops along the way.

We ate breakfast when we got to the hotel and then the room was ready at 10:30am so we checked in. John is sleeping now. DSIL Jane and DNephew Casey are due to arrive some time early evening. DBrother will arrive tomorrow morning. Tristan's girlfriend will also be here with her dad. It will be just one big happy family. I'll take pictures and post them afterwards to share with everyone.

You know it has been 1 year since Frank was so very sick.....seems like just yesterday, but I am glad I am home tonight and not hanging out at the hospital.

Frank is doing so well....it really is a miracle!!

You said she was born in Bethlehem, PA...that's where I used to live before we moved 30 minutes north and bought our house. We're still closeby. Is that where you are going for Christmas? How long will you be in town?

Hi Holly. Thanks for thinking of us last night. I got scared and closed my eyes. John is much more confident than I am behind the wheel when the weather is lousy. He did good. We arrived safely.

This is such a big week for Tyler. How exciting this is going to be for him and you. I know that he will love his new school once he gets used to it and it will help him so much. It will build his confidence. YEAH Tyler!

Tom had a two hour delay in going to school today. Thank all goodness that they didn't cancel. He would have been home alone all day. Who knows what friends he would invite over and what they would do. I don't even want to think about it. I remember being 17.....having the house all to myself for a whole day.....what kind of trouble could he have gotten into? Fortunately it didn't happen.

Sent Kaylee a PM. Annie tonight said "I do not want to be here on Jan 20th" There is supposed to be 4 million people here. I started thinking that maybe a quick trip to Orlando might be nice.

I went on Craig's list and other 5 bedroom homes in my area are going from $10,000 to $15,000 for 4 days.....what crazy person would pay that much to be in DC and stay 15 miles outside the city? The news is reporting that homes are being snatched up.

Would you let a stranger into your home for 4 days for $10,000?

Daniel just messaged me. The average for the Accounting final was 20/50. He got a 39/50...and he was disappointed .... but I told him look at the average!! I think he did great!!

When we got email confirmation of our acceptance there was a note on the bottom. It was a Disney ruling. We could take photos, just no copying them.

Not sure if just the ones of the ride would be ok as there are loads out anyway. Perhaps it is the private function they don't like showing.

Well, you are not the only one who thinks I am crazy. I just keep thinking how much Western Fairfax County Ministries could use that money...

So many of my friends said NO WAY.

But then again, I would really need to clean...

I would need to pack away clothing and sentimental items.

(The idea that someone might search through my checked luggage already has me packing my underwear in zip lock bags and carrying it in my carry-on....)

It would weird me out to have someone sleeping in my bed and using my bathroom.
