Cheri - Animal Kingdom is one of our favorite parks. We think it's often underrated because there are not as many "rides." It is one of the most detailed parks I think Disney has done and there are so many little details that go unnoticed.
If you go back, while Dinoland can sometimes be overlooked, keep an eye out for the graffiti and sight-gags planted around by the "grad students" who work at the "research institute."
We totally agree. We love AK! A few years ago we took the Wild By Design tour which went into all the details - for example if you look at the imprints in the path you don't see footprints until you get to the back as well as bike tire tracks too. The front (Oasis) only has natural marks - leaves, etc. also the pavillions behind flame tree bbq are all predatror/prey in design - example the pavillion with anteaters along the poles has ants painted all over. I definitely recommend the tour if you get the chance - does not go backstage at all.

I'm just glad when everybody gets back to work after the long break. Many businesses close the period between Christmas and New Year. It is a long time to have folk out wandering around the shops, particularly MEN!!!
It is also my anniversary so we are never alone on our anniversary. I know it is my fault I got married on that day but I didn't think that far ahead. We usually have friends over but now most of our friends have kids or they are pregnant now so I'm not sure what will happen this year. It may be nice to be a family one year. Just the four of us drinking sparkling cider and sitting by the fire. Well that would depend on the weather.
