Hi kids! Back from breakfast, movie and shopping with Peg (well, not the shopping part). We saw "Four Christmases" and laughed this much I love Vince Vaughn!

We saw it today and also enjoyed it!

Has she gone to the drs lately for her blood pressure? When is she supposed to be coming to the Good Samaritan Village (or has that not been decided yet)? I know it'll be something less to worry about if she didn't have to drive so far.

Thanks for asking,Michelle. She is ready to come over to Good Sam's. But she thought she could stay where she is until she sells her house. But I think she should try to rent it out for now. Until the economy changes a little b it.

I told Chuck that I am ready to put Patrick into Skilled Nursing, Mom into Assisted Living and Chuck and me in a mobile home! ALL AT GOOD SAMARITAN!!!!! We could buy a golf cart and just have LOTS of fun! NO POOL OR YARD TO CARE FOR, Just party party party every night! We'll invite all our DIS friends over to KARIOKE NIGHJT! sorry about the spelling!

HI EVERYBODY!!!!

I hope everyone's Thanksgiving was great, and we are on the countdown to Christmas!

We had a very strange Thanksgiving this year.....I worked from 12 to 6, which wasn't a problem at all, since we didn't plan to have a big meal, or go to anyone's house for dinner anyway.

But, when Patrick called my mom that morning, she said she was very ill and was upset and wanted to come to our house. Her blood pressure was 220/120 that morning. and several other days last week. It's a 2 hour drive, but she thought she'd be ok to drive. Well, she WAS ok, but when I got home, Chuck had supper going....baked potatoes and chili. Mom was acting very strange. She was having trouble talking,and kept repeating herself over and over. Then, she wanted to go to bed at 7:30, but she wasn't happy with the TV we put in her room, she wanted the one that is usually there! We dont' even know which one she was talking about.

Anyway, she seemed ok in the morning and we went out for a drive. But when we put up our Christmas tree, she started complaining that it was so small,and she wanted to know what happened to our regular tree. This IS THE SAME tree we've had for years......I am realy worried about her.

She was fine all day, but yesterday morning she got real weird again! Suddenly, she decided that she HAD to leave RIGHT NOW to go home. Her blood pressure was up again. I wouldn't let her go and made her wait for an hour. She was fine when she got home.

I am actually glad we are going to Fort Wilderness for 4 days before Christmas, maybe she'll stay home and have Christmas with her sister!

That's all from me right now. I did take a bunch of photo's at Beach Club, but I didn't get them over to Photobucket yet to post on the DISboard. Mayb e tonight!

I am off to work now. It's supposed to be rainy and stormy today. I hope my cruisers are ok.

Connie - you probably alread know (or thought of ) this but low blood sugar can cause mental confusion and tiredness. In case she hasn't had her blood sugar checked in a while.

Hope she is better soon.

Well we're back from Thanksgiving. We went to Darrell's parents and visited a bunch of friends too. Kind of a whirlwind tour.

So I'm about 50 pages behing - thought we'd be on a new thread when we got back.

I'm always amazed at how much work they do on that ship...

Cool, that's even better than the one we have here! But Indy is much bigger, so I'd expect bigger and better things.

Yup, it is pretty cool. The way they do it you can see through the lines of garland and see the mounument while you can see the tree and there are 8 foot tall "toy" soldiers and sailors around the base on the circle where cars drive by which is cool because it is the SOLDIER'S AND SAILOR'S MONUMENT.

I only got the tail end of Ty and the Extreme Home Make Over as we were putting clothes back in the closet and using the opportunity to clean out the stuff that we don't wear any more. Was that the house you went to see them work on?

I will have to check ... I believe it's the second set of locks - I was on my verandah for the last ones... I think Pedro Miguel??? ....

Pedro Miguel was the single lock after the canal itself, then we went through little Mira Flores Lake and the last two locks to the Pacific are Mira Flores Locks.
