Thanks,Sukie!! I`m glad to see that *SOMEONE* has their priorities in order! :>)

Yes, but we'll be leaving you behind, alone in the house, with the evil claw footed one who walks among us ... Tallulah! And her rather dim witted minion, Truman.

OK, where is everyone?

I've already packed up the 9 million toys to ship to the UK, swept the snow off the porch and front stairs and shoveled the front of the house (never having changed out of my footie jammies I might add).

I'm sitting around now waiting for a bout 45 minutes before the post office and Costco opens!

Nan, the Santa pic is lovely. Molly is growing up fast now. You have a lovely family.

I left work early today, at about 4:30. I came home and we went shopping. It was about 17F. Mrs Fezziwig has not been out of the garage since last Sunday.

She started right up (as she should have, considering we got her in April) and was a champ on the ice.

By the way, North South West Eastwood Canal now has a build up of ice in it. I think I saw the Titanic in the alley.

We hit 4 stores and got all of normal weekend shopping done by 7:00 PM. Unheard of.

When we left to go shopping, we saw there was a big tent in the big public parking lot that is next to our El station.

It is an event called "Christmas in the Square." We live in Lincoln Square, get it?

When we got home, we left the groceries in the car in the garage (as if anything is going to spoil when it's 17F, which is colder than our freezer).

It was nice in the tent, heaters for one thing, booths with vendors, a band, and they were selling, beer, wine, champagne and brats.

Don't know why I thought of you folk.

Was it the Champagne or the brats that made you think of us!!!:lmao:

These are like the cutest puppies ever.

I am referring of course to Ian's puppies. I tried to do a reply but somehow I messed even that up. Doh!

Morning kids!

Still have about 5 pages to read, but wanted to pop in and say "HI" first!

I get to pay bills, 'find' the top of my dining room table, and send out Christmas cards today!

....back in a moment....

We had a very nice meal at the Turf club here at SSR. Nice not to go out really. Just chilling and watching a film now.

Breakfast at Kona Cafe tomorrow and then some miniature golf at Winter Summerland I think.

I wore shorts for the first time today and it felt good!!! Hopefully I will fit into another pair tomorrow!!! :lmao:

I had a really good meal at Turf Club last visit too. We had ADR's for something spluzzy, but friend Janice wasn't feeling well, so we just moseyed over to the Turf Club for dinner. Ate on the patio with a view of DTD and had a lovely evening. Don't know why that place isn't 'talked up' more here on the DIS (though maybe it is now...that was a year ago!).

Kona for breakfast is one of my favorites also, they make a great omlette (not a Tonga Toast fan here)! We had a dinner planned for Kona last year, but had to pass on that also when plans changed so that Peg and Pam could do Circ de Solie (or however it's spelled).

And this is cool too

I really like this one!

OK...time to put in a phone call to sis in Chicago before it gets too late in the day!

later kids.........

I'm still tentative and not strong in my conviction yet with Tom in the house, all I'm feeling is relieved that I didn't blow it. Today is day three and I'm still doing the right thing. It's a little better and surprisingly a little easier than I thought it was going to be. So that's good.
:thumbsup2:
Way to go--

Remember

"I don't WANT to." ::yes::

:santa: Jan

I think it's gotten more crowded as the week has gone on. Wed. was nice, today at DHS the lines for rides were pretty long. I couldn't get a fast pass for Toy Story (they were all out), but I got to do everything I wanted to do. I used the single rider line for RRC and fast pass for TOT.
OK, I meant to ask yesterday, but hoped my brain would figure it out. No luck. So what is DHS?

Glad you're having a good time!

Ian, I was actually planning on asking you to repost this picture so I could show Tyler! :thumbsup2

Hi Guys, It's been a strep throat kinda house here all week. Unfortunately, Jonathan had it too and was speaking non stop 7 hours per day 5 days in front of big audiences. He feels awful. Z & I are better. We are supposed to go to the candlelight processional tonight, but I don't know that we will make it. All my Xmas stuff is out and mailed last week, (not cards) but all the big stuff. I'm finally getting some catch up time around here and with my computer work. I loved all the Xmas pictures and the maltese is the dog of kings! :cutie: I've been emersed in the audio book of the 3rd in the twilight series - love, love, love this one the best. Hi to all.

Well, here's the sad part of the whole story. One of my friends brought a co-worker to dinner tonight who is a friend of that family. She told us the mom already has the house up for sale because she can't pay the taxes. :sad2:

Same thing happened to a family in southern Oregon that were given a home by Extreme Home Makeover. A year later they were loosing the home because the taxes were so high. Sad.

Our Christmas cards are addressed, stamped and in a bag on the couch of the RV. Just need to find a mailbox to drop them in. Interesting the things we take for granted at home, but on the road can be a challenge. When we get to Lodi today we will unhook the car and drive to find one.
:thumbsup2

Good job on your Christmas cards! The only one I've mailed is the one for Marilyn & John to make sure it reaches them on time. The rest are still sitting in the package. ;) I will probably do them next weekend and mail then. This weekend I suspect I'll be pretty wiped out. Tonight is a lock-in at a YMCA for scouts, so I'm taking Tyler. It's from 9pm-6am. He's convinced he'll stay up all night, but I'm worried about managing to keep him awake until 9pm. :rotfl2: Hopefully if we clean and then do our Christmas decorating when he gets home today, that will keep him busy for long enough. Then once we get to the YMCA, once we start swimming and doing the rock climbing wall, he'll hopefully keep going, but usually will just crash wherever we are, so we'll see! I hope some friends from scouts are there, that will help keep him going. Pizza will be served at midnight and there's a cafe open until 3am. :thumbsup2

We'll surely miss church tomorrow. I feel bad about that because we missed the last 2 weeks because we overslept. 3 weeks missed is just something we've never done. Feeling guilty and missing friends there. But I'm sure we'll both be catching up on sleep on and off tomorrow.

It occurs to me that I should probably clarify that brats is short for bratwursts.

They only want you to think they're cute. That's part of their evil plan.

Sorry sorry you guys have been sick.

Funny, we were talking about you guys while we were driving around this morning, and here you are!

We're back from our morning run to the post office ($52 for shipping to the UK!) and we're back from Costco.

This was the first time out in the car in the snow, though I did test drive the Smart Car during a snow storm.

Not many people in Costco this morning, but that could be because it was about 9:30 and the snow.

I think we'll be staying in the rest of the day.

I managed to write 3 performance reviews by yesterday, so I only have one left to do. I'll probably work on it tomorrow afternoon when Sukie is out at work.

The hardest one is complete ... the bad review I wrote. I feel terrible about it. I sent it to my boss to review to see if I was too harsh.

JUST WAIT!

After you are done, go to the author's web-site...she has supplemental materials!:thumbsup2 Including 9 chapters of Twilight re-told from Edwards's perspective. Just don't click on anything for book four if you haven't read it yet.

Ian, just got off the phone with Dianne, and she may hit your class tomorrow to hear about the program revisions (she just HAS to be back home in time for Meet The Press w/Obama).

.

Oh, also, Ian she said under no circumstances are you allowed to cancel Tortola, you will just have to adjust OTHER vacation plans, if necessary! (I feel the same)
