I'm not sure if Jon will agree to this one

I vote for this one :thumbsup2

Eekkk I have to remember about that BK thing, Molly has some cards from her bday that she should use, if and before they can't be used. Another project for this weekend. She isn't a take me shopping kind of girl, but when we are shopping now she does look and ask for stuff (she never did that when she was little)

I'll take pics and post :thumbsup2

We always rent with a minimum of a 6 month lease thereafter month to month. The tenants we have now are great, fingers crossed they stay that way

Love that salad, but not the lasagna, I like the see what the specials of the day are :thumbsup2

When will you find out about the new jobs???

Molly has her first play meeting after school. It's for Into the Woods She has her hopes up for Little Red Ridinghood. Not sure that she has a chance, many older girls who sign great are trying out too. Try outs are next week, Mon & Tues send her good wishes for her audition.:thumbsup2

Tell Miss Molly that we said good luck!!! :cutie: :cutie: :cutie:

.
When our boys were old enough to be interested in staying up to see the ball drop (and we lived in the eastern time zone so it was at our midnight) we made brownie-ice cream sundaes to ring in the New Year. Each one told me the kind of toppings he wanted. They were terrific!! :thumbsup2:
.
Tyler and I wear party hats and dance around and run outside to do confetti and noisemakers and sparklers in the snow and yell happy new year. :goodvibes Of course, so far, we've done this around 9pm because that's about how late he can handle staying up, but I just tell him it's midnight and he doesn't know. :rotfl2:

Gaylean, I LOVE all the photos....but this one just says it all I think. I love the way they look all dressed up. They don't look like they're getting married. They look like a princess and a prince. I also love the sea in the background. This one gets my vote.
Yeah, me too! It's adorable! :goodvibes

It is strange Nan. We were just saying today, and also chatting with a couple on Test Track, about the crowd level, and we all thought it was busier than this time in previous years. We have been here the same time the last 2 years. However, some rides were walk on.:confused3 Test Track has been bad though all 3 times we have been in Epcot. It keeps breaking down(each of the 3 times we were there) and the lines then get very long.

AK today felt very busy, but we walked onto Kali River Rapids and Everest was not too bad a wait either.

Being just a couple rather than a large group helps in getting round the parks and on more rides.

Well that sounds very positive Deb!!

Just wait... Pop Warner starts this weekend... but it won't over do it too much... I think that alot of people just arent' traveling that much - hence the deep discounts...

Here is one of the choices. They are both smiling but it was like 9 am and I don't think I even brushed anyone's hair :scared1: But we are in Panama ;)

And this is cool too

SL740856.jpg

And then there is this one and we both look great but I think there are two people that may be a little mad if we send in a holiday card :scared1:

SL741087.jpg

This is one brings back memories :grouphug:

Picture027.jpg

G... even though I don't think I quoted them all I love all the pics!!!

I think the family one is very nice... but the kids and Acapulco is great... I just wish we could have stopped next to a "Welcome to Panama" sign for you to make everyone jealous with...

& I think the one with Bubba... might make John's family wonder when his beard went gray... ;)

I left work early today, at about 4:30. I came home and we went shopping. It was about 17F. Mrs Fezziwig has not been out of the garage since last Sunday.

She started right up (as she should have, considering we got her in April) and was a champ on the ice.

By the way, North South West Eastwood Canal now has a build up of ice in it. I think I saw the Titanic in the alley.

We hit 4 stores and got all of normal weekend shopping done by 7:00 PM. Unheard of.

When we left to go shopping, we saw there was a big tent in the big public parking lot that is next to our El station.

It is an event called "Christmas in the Square." We live in Lincoln Square, get it?

When we got home, we left the groceries in the car in the garage (as if anything is going to spoil when it's 17F, which is colder than our freezer).

It was nice in the tent, heaters for one thing, booths with vendors, a band, and they were selling, beer, wine, champagne and brats.

Don't know why I thought of you folk.

CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!!!! (and food... and wine... champagne... that's Deb's territory...)

Well, here's the sad part of the whole story. One of my friends brought a co-worker to dinner tonight who is a friend of that family. She told us the mom already has the house up for sale because she can't pay the taxes. :sad2:

When they did the house here... they did fundraisers to raise enough for a couple of years worth of taxes... and they paid the mortgage off...

thanks and thanks.

Your day sounds like great fun!!! I can't imagine that we will get that much done on our WDW trip being so close to the holiday, I figure the park will be totally crowded. Are the crowds bad now???

I think it's gotten more crowded as the week has gone on. Wed. was nice, today at DHS the lines for rides were pretty long. I couldn't get a fast pass for Toy Story (they were all out), but I got to do everything I wanted to do. I used the single rider line for RRC and fast pass for TOT.

I'm still tentative and not strong in my conviction yet with Tom in the house, all I'm feeling is relieved that I didn't blow it. Today is day three and I'm still doing the right thing. It's a little better and surprisingly a little easier than I thought it was going to be. So that's good.

Good for you, Deb!

We are at Valley of the Rogue State Park in southern OR tonight. We should be at DL by Dec 14! :woohoo: Family and friends to see along the way. Just got an email from friend we are seeing tomorrow and Sunday. They are excited, setting up the drums, gettig out the guitars and want to jam with DrHug.

That I'd like to see!

I know this is the one but I still like Panama because I would be bragging a little :rolleyes1 I've only had one drink

I like the porthole picture.:goodvibes

Let's see, what else have I missed? New Year's Eve, the last few years I've had dinner with friends but been home by about 10. I'm with Ian, NYE parties, to me, are depressing. I'd rather be home, in bed, sometimes asleep.

Today's report: I really enjoyed DHS! I love the old LA retro look! My mom was born in LA (so was I) and went to Hollywood High School so I have a real fondness for that era there. Every summer, from the time I was
born, my family went to LA/SoCal. beaches for vacation, which always included a trip to DL from the time it opened in 1955. I took lots of pictures! The Osborne Family Xmas lights were a blast! Didn't go to Fantasmic. Really enjoyed the Walt Disney story, Beauty and the Beast show, Little Mermaid show and Rockin' Roller Coaster!:thumbsup2

Tomorrow we're going to check out (not rushing) and go to AK, then to the MCO Hyatt to meet up with my sister, my friend Krystal, and my cousin and her family. They all fly in tomorrow.

Elaine has just let me know that she wants to go to sleep and can't do so if the light is still on!:lmao: Guess I'll sign off.

TTYL!

Thanks Nan. That's exactly what I'm doing because it makes it manageable.

I can't wait to see the santa pictures.

your wish is my command...

Hey Deb, do your turtles ever not eat in protest???

Wilson's turtle Crush, the red eared slider, isn't eating her food tonight. We think she is mad that her tank is dirty. The boys are going to clean it tomorrow. Have your turtles ever turned down dinner???

Sorry but I just had to quote them all.

This is tied for my vote

This is tied with the above. I think I like this one better though cause you all are in it.

Love this one:lovestruc Gonna steal it, K

And use this one if you want to brag.

I actually think it might be kind of funny. Oh wait  maybe I'm not one of the two that would be mad.::rotfl:

And you both do look great

:lovestruc The first day we really met.:flower3: :flower3:
Gonna steal this on too, K

Sorry but this thing won't let me quote it right for some reason :confused3

It was the turtle soup on the menu... (sorry Deb...)

I'm caught up, bored and have a little money in the bank so I think that means I need to shop :santa:
.
Now THAT would be a good tag! But I have heard that if you tag yourself, you lose the colored tag the Tag Fairy left . :confused3:
Not sure if that is right though.

Good Morning All Sentient Beings (and Nan)!

It snowed overnight. I'm going to have to get my butt out and shovel the snow.

It feels great that we got most of our shopping done last night.

Today we have to go to the post office. Sukie needs to mail Christmas presents to his 17 billion grandchildren in the UK. I've somehow gotten suckered into this event.

It a bit sad really, but there's a woman out there in the UK for who I am her stepfather.

Can you imagine that? I'm somebody's stepfather. I can't even quite grasp it.

Maybe I can phone up Lady Chatterlaine later and get some parenting tips.

I'm also a step grandfather (if there is even such a thing) to about 17 billion kids. I've only met one of them, when we all went on a 4-Night DCL cruise and then 8 nights in WDW in a 2-bedroom.

I suppose I'll meet the others eventually. The 17 billion grandchildren rang from 8 years old to 15 years old.

So today is the post office and then a trip to Costco.
