My sister is calling her later to see how she is. My sister is peeved too... Mom feels a bit lost in all of this. but she also knew it was going to happen... soooo....

We're looking for alternatives...

I told her that since it's the 30th of June... that the DISNEY MAGIC will be sailing away from Dock 43 at NY harbor!!!

She told me her husband would kill me if I made him stand on a dock and watch a mickey ship leave!!! LOLOL

Mom said she'd cry because she wasn't ON the ship...

Why don't you plan it and when your sister gets there, then the three of you can celebrate it. Just leave the boys out. Or tell them what you have planned and they can come or not. But instead of the whole thing depending on the boys who are not cooperative......just do it yourself and have it at your house.

This is not the time to get your mom all upset. You should all be thankful that she's still around and healthy at that. That's worth celebrating.

Not much going on here......

Doing a lot of sleeping and catching up on my rest since going off steroids.

This past weekend we went into NJ to a friend's Grand Opening of Porkys....it's a burger franchise. The food was very good and so were the friends.

Today I'm going to the Lawyer's office to sign some more papers. My poor mother thought she was taking care of everything for me and my brother and the reality is just the opposite. Now that she and Ray are gone, there are so many legal proceedings that have to be done. There's nothing for me and my brother.....just the lawyer getting a fat paycheck for all the work she's doing.

I'm still doing a mile on my bike everyday that I can. I don't want to push and get sick, so if I'm feeling a little ill or sluggish, I skip it. I don't want to go backwards. So far it's working. I'm eating healthy and have started the process of going down the scale, not up it. That's a good thing.

Father's Day is coming up and I made plans for John. I don't want to say because he doesn't think we'll be doing anything. Good! It will be a big surprise for him.....unless he reads this before Father's Day.

Michelle, I am so sorry to read of all the family problems you have over your mom's birthday party. I don't have any answers. My gut response is to do something special without the troublesome folk being invited but not sure that really is the answer.

I feel for your mom in all this too, but that is NOT your fault so don't take that onboard will you?

I haven't seen him since last August and I'm dying to see him since he got back from Italy.

We're thinking of maybe one of the spirit cruises out of NY or NJ.. We thought about the Mets game, but they aren't home that weekend... we'll see... something fun.

& not that anyone is keeping track or anything.. but the QM's 1st great grandchild is due around Jan 3rd!!! (I think I have to make the baby's stocking either way seeing as it might be early... NOT....)

I just saw a picture of you at a graduation over on FB and you look so good V. Your swimming is showing off. I know how hard it is and you are just doing so great. I'm so proud of you for your success. I will think of you as I push on that bike to get in that mile.....just keep swimming!

YAY Brian......I know how much you miss him.....and I know that he's your favorite, but I'll never tell. That's such great news.

Do a dinner cruise. Those are always nice. Either way, I'm glad you're working it out.

Then we ran some errands before coming back home and I picked up some smarties in the drugstore. I LOVE them too, but they made me think of all of you.

Next, I'll be back on the bike working off the calories I just ate....but worth it.
