You know... I can understand my one sister in law not wanting to have the party at their house. She's a teacher and she's just getting finished with the school year about then and she gets a little overwhelmed and such... but my other sister inlaw... if its a party for her side of the family they can have 30+ people there... WE need a place to have sub sandwiches, salads, cake and beer and wine for about 20 and he's freakin out... (my brother..)

I'm giving it 24 hours.. and then I'm thinking of taking the whole thing over (I could have planned this thing in about 15 minutes...) (actually I have... )

I know.. keep breathing...

Boss's wife brought in a whole bunch of peonies for everybody on Thursday, so I brought mine home for the weekend (since they'll probably be dead by Monday) and the house smells so good now because of them! Only problem is the cat has been trying to eat them about every 5 seconds. It's a constant battle with the squirt bottle trying to keep him away. He'll jump down but then is back eating them 5 seconds later. Forgot to hide them when we went to bed last night and woke up to the vase tipped over, flowers everywhere, and all the water SOAKED into my wood floor. Dang cat. So now the vase is back up with the flowers but without water in it. I'll probably have to throw them out tonight.

Holly, just a FYI about peonies and cats. Hope your kitty is doing well.

Family can be so frustrating! You should plan your own event. If they show great, if they don't then it's up to them to make their own arrangements.

I'm in contact with my sister and we are looking into what's happening...

The 70th got screwed up because of something like this...

I'm just declaring that side of my family really STUPID!!!

If I can figure something out soon.. I'm just gonna have it somewhere and forget about them..

My sister is already to not want to see my brothers... I'll talk her in off the ledge soon...

Come to think of it... for the next event... I think I'll just throw it with disfriends... they'd have a party anywhere!!!

the brothers are going to discuss it tonight..

I told them this was stupid.. make up their minds about the house and if not then we'll figure something else out.

Right now my sister isn't really talking with Timmy... and i might not want to either...

Oh wow, now I feel awful for bringing them home! Can't believe I didn't know that, especially since I grew up having lots of cats around. Fortunately I haven't seen any signs of trouble. Thanks so much for the info though. Now I know for next time. I threw them away Saturday.

We had to pitch most of our house plants. It's surprising how many plants are toxic.

told mom today that it has been decided that the party will be back at Kenney's house (oldest brother)...

Mom got very upset.

She's upset at how everyone is treating her/this and how she always goes out of HER way for them and how they couldn't even pull together a party for about 20 people at SOMEBODY'S house without bickering, fighting, etc.

The Brothers will not get that... neither will the SIL's... they will blame me... saying I got mom upset by all this...

& I'm pretty sure she's not going up to Cape Cod with my brother (Timmy) after all this crap.

Now.. I could have had this shindig planed in about 1/2 hour. Including food and cake... (planning at least...)

But I don't count...

I just live with mom....



So... we have to go to plan b... cause my sister is STILL flying in for the weekend...


I think for her 90th... I'll plan bungee jumping or something...
