Just popping in to say hi. Still going through medical tests here so can't book a vacation too far away as yet, not that i feel like going away just yet but it is boring not having anything to plan. I hope all you Hawaiian cruisers are fully planned and in packing mode by now. I don't come on the Dis much these days but try and keep up to date.
Stay well.

Ok Maz.. you me and Lisa need to keep the thread going while all THOSE people are off to the land of pineapples and poi... :wave2:

 Hi there!!! If you come to Baltimore, we have Johns Hopkins Pancreatitis Center. You could stay us. :goodvibes
We have 3 empty guest bedrooms.

Then you can go from Diser to Diser.. we have a nice medical center here in Albany... (and it won't snow anymore this year..) You will, however have to fight the QM for her new bed... she's quite attached to it...

Yea, but I didn't know who Chuck was, he didn't introduce himself to me, he just assumed that I would know him by saying that. It was just weird.

OK so him and his wife are very nice. They're still not coming to the CGs tasting. The event is closed.

It's real easy.. tell him you WILL come to see his suite.. and bring 90 women dressed in pink along!!!

I just checked the podcast boards... they are working out the kinks... they had a crash when they switched over to the new servers. Working from backup right now.

But the boards are fast!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Marilyn! Nice to see you here. Hope you get your health issues sorted out soon so you can plan a nice trip.

Holly, so excited that you are happy with your job. Sounds like life is going great for you! And please know that you don't scare anyone away. I was wondering where you were and are always happy to see you here. I missed your posts.

Hugs to Monica and everyone else.:grouphug:

Hi Donna!!!! How are the Duke and Duchess of Ohio?

Sorry, I rebooted and I still don't have any color.....but I wanted to say.......

Congratulations Jackie!!!! Happy Retirement!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND......may there be many more Mickey cruises with friends in your future. We love you and wish you well!!!

HUGS and KISSES and LOVE........

:worship: :worship: :worship:       pirate: pirate: pirate:

I thought Blue was a good color.. what do you think???

Ohh yeah.. Jackie... Congrats!!! :banana::banana::banana:

 We would love to visit you two. I think the thing that upsets me most is worrying I won't get over to the US again.

Thanks Jan. Just at the moment I don't even fancy a trip over to the coast a couple of hours away. I need to build my confidence up for a car journey and also being away from home.

That is so strange about the colours disappearing for you Deb. Maybe it is like the Facebook timeline thing and they are doing it over time to us all and soon none of us will have colours????:confused3

Thank you. It is just taking such a long time but hopefully soon I will have finished with tests for now and can at least think about planning something.

Maz... I know EXACTLY how you feel. I've been sooo sick lately and also dealing with the bad pain that I've felt like I really don't even want to leave the house sometimes. Cabin fever didn't even set in this time.

And about traveling. I haven't been on a real vacation in 4 years... What used to be easy for me is now very overwhelming. If I do get the chance to get away, I will either go someplace I'm very comfortable with or I will have to take a leap of faith and just go... not sure what I'm up to. We'll see...

Deb must have used up all her allocation of colour!!!!!!

Jan, the idea is to try and build up the travelling once I can be bothered!!! Now, get me a definite booked vacation to the USA and I would soon be bothered.:lmao:

Jackie, HAPPY RETIREMENT Won't be long before you start saying that annoying 'don't know how I ever found time to work' ;);)

She used up all of her 96 box of crayons... :rotfl: (except Burn Umber.. that one is always left over... )

(which I have never had.. I was always jealous of my friends who had the big box with the crayon sharpener..)

Boring day today. Watched the movie "The Descendants", even though I hate watching sad movies, but it wasn't as bad as I'd expected. So from watching that and "Soul Surfer", it seems Hawaii is very windy ALL the time. ;) But so beautiful!

Doing a bit of cleaning too. Ended up cancelling 1-800-Got-Junk because it's $300 I'm just not comfortable spending right now. I need that cushion just in case. So I'm getting rid of things in chunks instead. A person who collects non-working electronics stuff for spare parts is coming this afternoon to pick up a bunch of stuff, so that clears quite a bit of space.

Next I will box up all the clothes that no longer fit and see if any would be usable to somebody else. Most are too worn out, but there might be some. I'm also hoping to get my kitchen and laundry area cleaned today, then maybe the bathroom and start my bedroom tomorrow (and saw up the tree in my backyard). And I have to squeeze in about 4 hours of work today or tomorrow (2 hours might even be enough). :thumbsup2

Now.....off to hang my laundry out to dry!

You know... within 2 weeks of a HUGE vacation... one must never do any heavy lifting or trying to do major housework....

do it when you get back.

& you just want to watch movies about Hawaii... :goodvibes:goodvibes

soooo where did you guys decide to have dinner the night before the cruise???

Well, I didn't exactly stick with it. I did great over the holidays, did not derail a bit, but when the stress of work changes started, I was into comfort food like crazy and was off track for 2 MONTHS. I don't know how I managed to not gain tons of weight back because the way I was eating was double what I was eating when I weighed 30 pounds more. But now I'm back on track and plan on staying that way.i I will splurge on the cruise, but I always lose weight on cruises anyway because of being so much more active and no fast food, plus I never eat lunch the whole time. So it balances out, and this time I plan on making a point of exercising daily, so it will be even better for me. :thumbsup2

Me too Holly - I did great on my bday cruise - my only "bad" thing was my BBCs one or so a day.

Molly thinks I'm crazy - I had at least 2 salads a day on the ship and have continued that since being home :thumbsup2

Wish I was doing 2 weeks - it would really make a big dent in my loss then :scratchin

YAY!!!!!!!!!!! My color is back!!!!! The DIS had to reboot their system OR put us on a new server as they said. Now my colors are back and it's working again. I'm so pleased.

:banana::cool1:

Two weeks from today I'll be sitting at Signals right about now having my first BBC....heaven......ready to embark on a long journey across the Pacific Ocean to a few tropical islands. I'm so excited for this trip to begin.

Tell me what is in the BBC. I know I read it once, but have forgotten.

How did I end up 5 pages behind???

Marilyn shows up and I miss this??? :confused3:confused3:confused3

You need to stay alert!! :surfweb:

soooo where did you guys decide to have dinner the night before the cruise???

This is where we are going:

http://www.22ndstlandingrestaurant.com/

The funny thing is that Tracy picked this place out without already knowing that Gydell and party of six already had a ressie there for the same night at 6:00pm. So our table of 14 is sitting next to her table of six. We may just ask them to put us all together.

Small World......Afterall......It's A......hahaha.

It's a Bailey's Banana Colada.....I know it has Bailey's in it and bananas in it.....not sure what else. But it tasts like a banana thick shake. It's delicious....but very filling. I only have one a day.

I ended up going out to the :beach: It was a beautiful day, but there were tons of people around....too much noise.

I rented a chaise lounge & umbrella again ($10 for both) and was glad I did. It was high 70's, partly cloudy, with a little bit of wind. The wind was nice - kept me from keeping too warm.

:laundry: has been started - sheets & towels now, may get to the clothes but may not.

Now on here, watching a special on Titanic & relaxing some more.

Saw the Dream while I was out in Port Canaveral - started thinking "wow, it was 2 weeks ago that I was boarding her" -- can't believe how quickly time flies.

I keep having to sign in to the DIS. I may stay away until later.....this is annoying!

Mine is doing the same thing.

I'm glad you had a good day at the beach today, even if it was noisy.

How cool that you saw the Dream sail off, especially since you were just on her.

They are still working out the kinks from when they did the change over to the new servers.

Everyone is signing in today.

NO, need to get as much done before as possible because about 2 weeks after vacation is when we have to pack up and move the office, so that will be so chaotic, the last thing I'll want to do is clean at home. :crazy2:

Too tired tonight to work on the kitchen, so I plan on doing that tomorrow. :goodvibes
