nice to have you back Monica! Glad you had a good time and arranged for some time to yourself too. Being with a group is not easy no matter how much we love them.

I heard a speaker once talking about time outs. She said that we give kids one minute for each year of their age to mellow out and calm down when under stress.

she paused

she stared at the ceiling

she started counting on her fingers

and said

"I am 52. That means I get 52 minutes. Hmmmm....... let's see....
bubble bath
read
nap
....."

the audience cracked up as we all started thinking about our age and the duration of the time out we could give ourselves

Howdy everybody! I never seem to find time to get on here much anymore. So I'm way back on page 74 trying to get caught up. Should be napping but instead am enjoying the beautiful sunshine and green grass and flowers outside. Well, I'm actually INSIDE, but surrounded by open windows so it FEELS like I'm outside, I just don't have to worry about sunburn or bugs.

What??? Are you people busy packing or something?????

I was busy outside at close to midnight with a basket of eggs, playing Easter Bunny, trying to find good hiding places, and hoping no neighbors called the police for a suspected prowler.

But for the past 3 weeks I've not been on here, life is just busy beyond belief. I desperately need a vacation, not from work but from life. 21 more days....3 weeks from today.

We spent a very quiet day at home today. I'm resting up for a wild week of getting my TO DO list done.

Everyone coming off the maiden voyage of the Fantasy is saying that DCL listened to all the complaints about the Dream and it's maiden voyage and they made a lot of changes. They said they liked the Fantasy a lot better than the Dream. They said the maiden voyage was great.

I'm sorry I was on the Dream maiden voyage and not the Fantasy maiden voyage. But I'm going to Hawaii in three weeks so.....who cares. hahaha.

I'm glad DCL listened and made some adjustments.

yeah.. they said that they made changes, even though the Fantasy was already being built.. like adding the extra water/pool areas in the adult area and also they said that the adult areas flow better.

One of my friends, Lisa Graves, was on CC and she sent her daughter to grab a table because it was crowded by Cookies 2... they found a table with just a man sitting there and asked if they could sit on the other end. He said sure and even stayed a bit and chatted with the family. It turned out to be Karl Holtz... Pres of DCL... (he was going incognito... no DCL tag or shirts, she said.)

I think I'm going to like going on the Fantasy one day, but that's because of the longer cruises and more time to see the ship.

I'm waiting until I move down to Florida to get onboard the Fantasy. I've got 2012 booked with two cruises and in 2013 I'm moving and can't plan anything until after we're settled in down there. Then we'll get on the Fantasy. But I know that I'll always love the Magic the best.

LOL! Well, definitely too busy to DIS at work since the move. Things will get even more chaotic soon because they're shopping for office space and office furniture, so we'll be moving soon, we just don't know when. I was hoping it would be before the cruise so I wouldn't have to come back from 15 days of relaxation to jump into packing and moving again, but it's not looking likely. I'm guessing May, June at the latest. Oh well! Still super happy to be there! The main source of being busy is life in general.

I am back at work for the entire week this week (ugh). Really don't want to be .

Lisa & family made it back home safely. Mom & Dad have taken my car & are spending the day in St Augustine today (about 2 hrs away).

As much as I've enjoyed everyone here, I am really looking forward to getting back into my routine around the house. Mom & Dad leave on Wednesday & will be at my sister's for another 2 weeks.

Hi Monica, I missed you too. I know you had a great time with the family and another Dream cruise. I'm glad you had beautiful weather too. Welcome home.

I have less than 24hrs now before my world returns to my normal. I am going to miss having my parents here, but I must be honest & say that I'm glad to have my space back. I think they're ready to move on from here too....they're bored. At least at my sister's, the kids are there.

Found out that my friend is NOT coming to paint this week & I'm actually happy about that....well, only happy that I don't need to shell out $ right now. I was hoping that I didn't need to pay that until after Hawaii.

He ended up taking a job at a jewelry store & he will be here in Orlando Tuesday/Wednesday for training (darn ) At least I'll get to see him in 1 week. That will probably have to hold me over until after I get back from Hawaii.

I know I'll be going through withdrawls during the cruise since I won't be able to talk to him everyday, but I'll catch up with him once we get on the islands.

Sorry you don't get to see your friend to paint your house this week Mon, but it's good not to have to pay for it yet.

We just had $5k in auto expenses and it killed my vaca budget. I now have to cancel most of my excursions.....no helicopter ride for us. We'll rent a car and just explore on our own. Thank goodness the Luau was prepaid. It's going to be a no frills vaca without the extras that we usually do. I'm saddened, but at least I'm going. So no complaints from me!!

Got this message from a complete stranger on FB....how could he message me if we're not friends.....I don't know but this is what he said:

"Just added to the Hawaii group. We are not DISers for obvious reasons but if you have room for four on Champagne my wife, daughter and two aunts would love to join you. Let me know if you have the space."

Can you imagine......we are not disers for obvious reasons......what does that mean? Is he insulting us? Then he wants to add FOUR ladies that have no clue what they're signing up for....he said if you have room for four on Champagne. It sounds like we're on drugs or something. He doesn't have a clue what this event is all about.

I told him sorry, closed event because it's full. He wrote back and said to let him know if there are any cancellations. I have 90 ladies as of right now. I'm allowed up to 95, but I didn't think it was a good idea to add them.

I feel like you were being truthful - you are still waiting on a few ladies to confirm & pay (I'll be paying hopefully tomorrow) so at this point, you are at capacity.
