I had something completely typed out then it disappeard.....grrrr

ok...finally saw the dr at 950a after my appt was at 820a. we talked for a bit & he gave me another procedure that he wants me to consider before the finality of the hysterectomy. He's sending me info on this new thing (don't remember the name). I will be going in for an untrasound of my insides soon (I will probably wait until after my parents leave for this). He couldn't find my mammogram results, so still flying blind on that. Extra scans/ultrasound are on Tuesday.

I guess that's it for now.

That's all good. Better to have an alternative treatment to try first before going for surgery. Anything to avoid surgery. Maybe it will work.

I do have the patch....I also carry bonine with me just in case.

The patch is a prescription - there are 4 patches in a box, each can be worn up to 3 days a piece.

If you need a script for this one then it has to be different from the one that they sell onboard.

What is bonine? Is it a pill?

I'm trying to decide if meclizine is enough for me or if I should back it up with something else too. And if so, what?

Deb, they sound pretty though! And the mixed colors might look nice for those of us who have solid pink tops, or blend well with the ladies wearing Hawaiian florals!

Monica, nice to here that there is a different procedue to check out before going with the flow blown surgery. Phone call tonight?

.
Today the sisters are going to see the Jennifer Aniston/Paul Rudd movie and have early dinner at the Elephant Bar after a quiet morning at home!

.

Jackie, that's a good point. Maybe I should just put them all out and let everyone choose. Then I can take the leftovers to the kids club for the little girls. The only problem I see is that they don't match the bubble gum pink flowers in our hair. Oh well. It's done!

Monica, talk to Jackie....she knows these things.

Sisters and movies....sounds like it's a great visit. Enjoy!!!

Buy the ram on amazon and have john or you put it in. order online today have it before sat......:surfweb: usually get 8gb total in 2 dimms. do you have windows 7??

Karl

Hey Karl, yes I do have Windows. I have Vista and John hates it. He's used to XP or 7. Let me check with John and make sure that he can do it for me. I would much rather buy it on Amazon. Thanks.

I found my pink tink slippers....yeah! Angie was right, they were in the Alaska luggage. hahaha. Now I only have bathroom and last minute things to pack. I'm relieved. I don't have to think about it anymore.

I did my Zumba DVD today. I'm so happy and feel good now that it's done. I only got through the first two dances, then I was finished. But I did the arms while sitting down for all the dances. I'll buid up to doing more everyday. I really like doing it so I know I'll keep it up.

The other thing is still surgery, but less invasive & outpatient versus 1 night in the hospital. I will be looking at pros & cons to both & try to make an informed decision. :thumbsup2

bonine is another motion sickness medicine but it doesn't knock me out like dramamine does.

these are chewables.

I'm not sure what they sell on board, but Bonine and meclizine are the same. Meclizine is what they hand out for free at guest services and the medical center. :thumbsup2 they are 25 mg tablets you take once daily. You can take up to 100mg daily. I usually take one 25mg tab the morning we board and then another about sail away time. The Port Canaveral night is the worst for me. I then take only one a day after that.

:thumbsup2 Good for you Deb :cheer2:

I have not kept in shape this past year, too many stresses :sad2: The weather here has turned really warm and lovely so I have started walking again and am determined to whip myself in to shape before this cruise :yay: I made it up to an hour and a half today. Had a nice walk to a nearby park, where there is a river you walk along beside and it reminded me of walking all around Stanley Park last year in Vancouver. My knees and feet are hurting now though! I have a hike I'm doing as an excursion in Hawaii so I have my motivation.

Enjoy :goodvibes Please give us a review as well! I would like to see this pic too. Hoping you give it a :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

They sell them on the ship.

They are prescription, I think. Were a while back anyway. Deb, I would definatly talk with your doctor, even if you can get them onboard with a rx. With your health problems, you don't want to be running into any drug interactions or anything.

Glad to have been of help!! :rotfl2::lmao::laughing:

Monica, you keep us posted, we will keep you in our prayers. Note: I would have been very upset that he could not find the mammogram results.....just the mom/patient advocate here. :rolleyes1

Well.. I went to Urgent Care tonight... and was told that I have a cold (2nd week...) and that I needed to just tough it out... :headache::headache::headache:

And if I'm not better in 5 days to call them back...

I TRIED to explain that I have crappy sinuses and that I go through this almost every time I have a bad cold... it stays around and then it goes into a sinus infection and I'm sick until I can get an antibiotic.

I know that antibiotics shouldn't be used alot.. but I haven't had one in about 9 months...

and now.. I will either get better or be calling them in 5 days MISERABLE for an antibiotic that I should have gotten today...

I AM NOT A HAPPY CAMPER!!! :sick::sick::sick:

& insult to injury... I had to pay for that... (my deductable...)

So I ordered solid pink leis for the champagne girls and they came. They're pink, white and fushia. That's not what I wanted. So I ordered more from a different vendor, they're pink and fushia. That's not what I want either, but I'm not ordering anymore of them. So we'll use these and I'll package and mail the others to the boat and give them to the kids club. They were not expensive so it's worth it.

Sorry they are not what you expected, but they sound lovely to me.

This is what Bubba takes. He has used it for every cruise we have taken. He takes one every morning and he is good to go all day.
