Does anyone know what the current corking fee is onboard DCL? Karl is making me an offer that is hard to refuse. Thanks Karl. Let me find out the fee that DCL is going to charge me and then we'll see if it could work.

Whew! Just finished catching up on all the pages from when we were gone on our trip!

Sending  to all having health, family and financial issueldhs.

Sure do wish I was going on the Hawaii cruise with you guys. If only we had known it was coming when we booked the Fantasy MV. I definitely would have chosen it instead.

Speaking of the MV, there is a CG group there, even though I don't know if any of the organizers has ever done one before. It will be kind of fun to see how the different groups take on a life of their own. Not nearly so much fun as this group, though!

We're now sitting in "wait" mode on college acceptances. It's pretty stressful, I gotta tell you. She has 2 acceptances to schools she'd be pretty happy to attend, but her FAVE, (Pace University in NYC) hasn't said a word yet. We were really led to believe she would be accepted into the program (and I still think she will be).

But I'm kind of bummed because they SAID they weren't going to be notifying people until around March 10 or so, but there have been at least 4-5 people that I know of who have been called already, and I have to say, it's kind of leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Seems like the "favorites" are being called early, with the rest being kept in a "holding pool" for final decisions until after all the auditions are done this weekend. I don't actually have a problem with that method. There are several of Alison's schools that do the same thing. But this particular school is her top favorite and she was given to believe she was a favorite candidate, so it kind of hurts to find out that she's just "one of the crowd" after all. (Probably hurts me way more than it does her. In fact, she doesn't even know about most of the others because what's the point in hurting her feelings?)

I keep telling myself that a year from now I won't even remember how all of this played out and she'll be happily ensconced in her 2nd semester of wherever she ends up! But that doesn't help with these very long days of waiting for the phone to ring and/or the mail to arrive!

Oh, also, I'm still looking at options for April when y'all are going to be in San Pedro.

Question: Did you want to do dinner specifically? I assumed so. But if you wanted breakfast the morning of the cruise, it might be fun to try Gaffey Street Diner, which was featured on Triple D. Unfortunately they're not open for dinner, just breakfast and lunch.

Let me know what you want to do. I'm easy and I'll keep both times open.

Albert...

I've already offered my pink wig to Dennis... but Angie said he wouldn't wear it... how about you? :lovestruc:lovestruc

Tracy... Keep breathing... it will all work out and like you said.. next year, it won't look so bad... :grouphug::grouphug:

Will it explain why I'm a walking furnace from time to time? :rotfl2:

That appears to relate to hormone plummets like off the edge of the Grand Canyon. However I do think I handle them better when I am rested and mellow.

Deb, maybe we should have 4 people working the check in desk...I'm sure another charter member would be glad to help. You know everyone will arrive the 5 minutes before it starts! Plus you may need to be pulled away from the desk for organizational/DCL needs.

Also, for a group this size you can nearly always count on 10% not showing (scheduling/family conflicts and the very valid cruise excuse "I just forgot!")

.

. ME !! ::yes:: ME !!

I would love to help!! Let me know when to be there and where! :yay:

Actually, Deb, it would make sense to have twice as many helpers as you think in case someone gets detained or an errand needs to be run.

& to watch if the little green furry butt is taking off with a whole bottle of his own...

I was just thinking the same thing. Hoping that this is truly a case of no news being good news. Almost 11 pm her time, still early. :)

I had asked her a question in a private message on FB and she answered it around 7:30pm. In it she said, btw, I'm a happy camper.

So all is going well, which is why we have not heard from her. She said she will update either late Sunday or early Monday. I can't wait!!
