There is NO champagne girls event on my next cruise. We're wearing pink and having a drink at a bar.....everyone pays for themselves and they order whatever they want. It's more like Shots Around The Ship except that we're just meeting in one place. There's no organizing, no lists, no money exchange involved, no sommelier, no champagnes to taste. It's NOT a champagne girls tasting.

If I don't like what's going on, I can always leave, I'm not hosting this event. No one is. We're just meeting in a bar for a drink. That's totally different from the champagne girls.

Sounds like a great plan.

Morning Corky!!!

I hear ya... I've changed my passwords so many times.. I can't remember which pet, favorite child or town i was born in for my hint!!! :rotfl2:

Quiet day here... My sister is coming home from the hospital today.. All went well... I tried to convince her that she needs to rest and let everyone else spoil her... now lets see if she listens...

Summer is zipping by. I haven't posted in a while, things have somewhat hectic here. I forgot my password and had it emailed but realized it was an email
address I haven't used in a longggggg time. Nan sorry to hear about your job and you are not cruising with us this sept. we will have to pop the bubbly with out you. Holly, about the peanut plant, I believe the peanuts grow under ground.
Yes, the tag says they will grow underground, but that first flowers will blossom on the plant. No flowers yet, so I'm assuming no peanuts are ready under there yet. I hope they grow though, it's kind of a cool plant! :thumbsup2

We're waiting to see if we're going to be on water restrictions soon.. no lawn watering (which if fine with me... since I don't water it anyway...) and then they will stop car washing and such..

They're already warning campers up in the mountains not to leave any campsite with a fire... the danger is pretty high.

We've had an open fire ban now since we've been back from TN, might have started before we got back, I don't know, since we weren't here. Our neighborhood looks like tumbleweeds will start rolling by. Completely brown and dead.

Yesterday a friend of mine posted a pic on fb... he walked out of his office and guess what was passing by???? He got to hear the horn!!!! Was amazed at how it played "When you wish upon a star...".. He said it was MAGICAL.. I said of COURSE it was... that's because that was the DISNEY MAGIC!!!!

Wow. Would you have one child's birthday party while the other child is away and unable to attend?! I'd think one would have a small gathering on the actual day and then have the party either early or later so a brother can be at his sister's BIRTHDAY party. Wow. :furious: Maybe that's just me though. :(

I don't know.. having a summer birthday always meant that someone was off doing something... my brothers were at camp.. me or my sister were visiting our grandparents and then there was the lake...

Maybe they'll have cake and such again when he/she gets home. Maybe they already did... :confused3

Same with my family, all summer birthdays, but we just celebrated when everybody could be together. Maybe we're the minority then.

I guess every family has their own way... I always got sort of gyped cause we would be at the lake... Now I like being there.. but there wasn't much of a kids party when I was little... just cake etc. at the lake.

Oh, and I have to cancel the 12/15/12 Fantasy cruise because I just found out I was wrong on the dates of Tyler's Christmas break from school. Their vacation doesn't start until Christmas Eve. Oops! But on a happier note, yesterday I started planning our August vacation up north, and that's going to be so fun! :goodvibes

Holly, sorry you are cancelling the cruise, was looking forward to seeing you and Tyler again. :sad1:

Instead of buying a quarter or half watermelon every day or every other day, I finally bought a whole watermelon and am just slicing off a chunk every time I need some. MUCH cheaper! :goodvibes
?

I started doing this also. Watermelon is one of the fruits that will last a good amount of time in the fridge, so one can keep hacking away at it for a while! Didn't buy one last time I was at the store though, as there were only GIANT ones and I didn't want to have to carry it! :rotfl:

I'm thinking about a movie today, haven't been for several weeks, so I'm off to check out what's still playing and what's new.

.

Just a hint.. and I'm going to try this too... cut the watermelon and stick it in the freezer.. they say to take out what you want and it makes a really nice and cool snack during the summer...

Mine doesn't last long enough to freeze! :rotfl2: I usually eat about a half watermelon a day. It's just cheaper to buy whole rather than a pre-packaged half at a time. :goodvibes

I guess each family does do it their own way. I just can't imagine making somebody sad about having to miss out. Just kills me.
