I can figure the GREAT thing but not 100% sure about the other stuff. I wonder if it can be streamed through a Wii....Will & Mickey have this plan & I can probably get them to "rent" it for me.

It's on Netflix... but the Scotia library also has it... I need to clear my schedule to get it out cause I'd have to watch it pretty quickly and get it back before the fines are enough to buy the darned thing...

Hmmm...no...what is it?

Melatonin is a supplement that's in your brain that should help you sleep.

So happy today's Thursday...connected to FRIDAY!!!

Fell asleep about 230am....but woke up feeling better than I did yesterday. Didn't take a pill (or any portion of it)....will have to look up what Holly commented on.

that's about the time I started going to sleep.. ended about 6:30...

Holly - sent you an email!

(sooooo where're ya sending her now???)

never thought about looking in the library!!!

will have to see how much it costs....do I need to go to someplace like Whole Foods or would CVS have it?

She was asking some ?s about the Hawaii cruise.

ok - now that man is making me regret getting back in touch. he's calling me &/or texting me every day. Coming across as way too needy!! Does he not understand that since I talk on the phone all day I DON'T want to talk on my free time??? (well....to him :lmao:)

gheez!!

and he ended up NOT calling....whatev's. He texted now & asked if could call now...I said nope - no personal calls while I'm working.

I did get to chat w/ Nan on FB while I ate my PB&J

Melatonin is what your body produces to keep your sleep cycles regular. You can buy it in the Vitamin section of stores as a supplement to take before. It usually gets your sleep cycle back on track and should NOT cause drowsiness. I used it years ago to get back on track with my sleep schedule and also gave it to Tyler regularly when he was 3 and 4.

Thank you! Skimmed briefly, will read and respond when I get home. Was super swamped today because my coworker with the lung condition had to go to urgent care. She's not sure how long she'll be off. She's cruising 2 weeks from Saturday, so I hope she's healthy by then and doesn't wind up in the hospital again for an extended stay. :(

Holly, is that Jan? Sending many prayers and lots of pixie dust for her to heal fast and go on that cruise. Where to this time?

Yes, it is Jan, thanks. I think it's a Western Caribbean this time, but I can't remember for sure because she goes on so many, LOL! I think it's #17 or 18 Disney cruise for her and her husband.

I'm going to check on her tomorrow and make sure she didn't wind up in the hospital. All it takes is one cold and she'll wind up with pneumonia and be in the hospital because her lungs just can't ever fight anything on their own. Scary stuff.

ETA: I just checked DCL's website to see what cruise leaves Saturday. I was right, it's a Western. I'm so jealous!!! :)

Holly...

it's 44 degrees here... :cold::cold::cold::cold:

If it snows tonight.. I'm blaming YOU!!!! :rotfl2:

I made it to NJ with lots of McDonald's sugar free iced vanilla coffee stops which meant lots of restroom stops but that was probably good because I was out of the car walking every 2 hours and did not get stiff like I often do !

Deb: I meant that since the boys were doing the cooking, maybe they could learn how to figure the points and portion control and serve you an appropriate sized portion of food cooked according to a WW recipe.

When I did WW it was before the point system. I made a triple or quad of the recipe, I ate the WW size portion and Tom ate as much as he wanted. The rest was for lunches.

But I know you know best what will work for you and your family.

Good going on the exercise. :yay: remember--PACE don't RACE :thumbsup2

Hi Jan, great to see you taking lots of breaks while doing all that driving. Glad you made it to NJ safely.

I understand what you're saying about WW dinners with the boys. It would cost a fortune to fill them up though. They eat A LOT more than John and I are used to eating. WOW. I thought they ate a lot when they were young. NOPE! They really eat a lot now. I just saw on the news a segment that stated that you really can't eat healthy on a low budget. They connected obsesity with poverty. Even though I'm not living in poverty, my budget has changed drastically since the boys moved in. They are expensive on many levels. My disposable income is indisposed. hahaha. It will get better in time as they start earning money and they are here longer. They got here needing everything from food to clothes and cars and licenses. That will taper off as we take care of them. But the point is that it's less expensive to fill them up on pasta than protein and veggies.

In the meantime, I have contacted Kaylee and inquired about her weight loss program. She said it's possible to do remotely. So I will try her plan. I can cook one thing for me and something different for the boys and John.

You will be so happy to know that I rested yesterday. I only did one walk around the house without the bottled water for weights. I rested. Now today I will get back on the program and do many walk arounds while holding the water bottles. I'll try to add stairs today and I'll do head, shoulders, arms, legs and ankles. Tomorrow I will take it easy again. I'm pacing not racing so that I can continue and won't have to stop from being sick.

On a sad note, my leg was so good all summer. Now it's leaking again. I'll call today and make an apointment with Dr. Beckett, the wound specialist. I'll ask him to call in the antibiotic so I can start up again. The infection has returned.

Have fun with Sophie today!!

17 or 18.....now I'm jealous too.....hahaha. I want to do another Western Carribbean. I loved it and missed doing Cozumel because we did Tulum on the mainland, which we loved and would do again. It's the only beach that John will go to because the sand is like baby powder. Anyway, I really hope she gets well enough to travel tomorrow. Lots of pixie dust blowing her way. Keep us updated please. Thanks.

Deb--I see what you mean. I knew you would know best. Even if you make the WW meal time 4 and pad the boys' meals and John's with pasta you do not eat, that may be more trouble and cost.

They are blessed to have you and John as stable adults who are always relaible.

Have a good day!
Jan

well..last night ended this morning at 330am. So glad today's Friday!!!

so what's on tap for people this weekend?

I'm planning on going to Loews, Walmart, Publix, the gas station & the library. (I'm such a party animal, aren't I??? :lmao:) I plan to stop by Chili's for lunch tomorrow (near 3 of the places I need to go), where I can relax with a Killians on draft, a good meal & a book. I can then stop by Publix on my way home.

I'll be treating the weeds with the Roundup that I pick up tomorrow & then only other stuff I NEED to do are :laundy: & going through a few more boxes. I have 2 boxes in the room with me now to go through during the day. I have 6 more boxes (I think) in the guest room that I need to deal with before my parents arrive.

NEXT weekend (the 23rd-25th) is a working weekend for me. I'm doing things with the leisure agency that I work through.....

here's what's planned:
FRI 9/23/11 – Royal Caribbean Monarch of the Seas Site Visit and evening at Universal Studios.
SAT 9/24/11 – 9:00am- 2:00pm WDW Site Inspections (4-5 resorts, and lunch at Whispering Canyon).
SUN 9/25/11 – Disney Dream ship tour already CONFIRMED including lunch onboard.

We had a "training" weekend a few months ago that included a tour of the Dream, Universal Hotels, tickets & meal plan to the Universal parks, ride on a Mardi Gras parade float (I didn't do this), Disney hotel tours & lunch too (didn't do these). I did the Dream & Universal stuff that time.

This time, I'm taking the Friday off from the "real" job & doing everything.
